I use Machine+ in standalone mode only, so don't have the Machine 3 software. My question is: Will the forthcoming Machine 3 update for M+ be a free or paid update? If paid update, how much?
Free, but if you want to open your project in the desktop Maschine 3 software, you’ll need to purchase the update from Maschine 2 to Maschine 3 — it costs €29. Alternatively, if you bought your M+ after November 6, 2024, it should already come with Maschine 3 included.
Late this year ???? 😜😂🤣😆
Just take a seat and wait …
Given how there's no news about any sort of public beta on it yet, I'd be a lil sceptical about "first weeks of summer".. but we'll see
At least today Chris mentioned again the team being working exactly on Maschine 3 on M+
I’m just extremely happy that m2 got this update and that m+ is so stable. Even bought new sd card of 256gb to add samples n stuff I was missing on it. Now I love it even more and I’ll start using it for live stuff also, not just beat making! There’s nothing in M3 that makes me feel I want it NOW on M+. Hopefully they take their time and make it great for the M+.
same here!
NI should take a leaf out of Akai's book and make it possible to revert easily to a previous OS/firmware. Ableton's Push can also do this. Ditto Denon DJ with their Engine OS.
You don't know it for sure, so saying it will be a "messed up" is a bit dramatic. There are a lot of smart people working at NI, and I believe they're doing their best to deliver a great product. Of course, it's not easy, and the business side of things can affect the stability of updates. But since 2020, Maschine+ has improved a lot in a good way, so there's no real reason not to trust the Maschine team.
If the M+ is such a vital part of your live performance setup, you should have at least one backup unit.
Hmmm do you guys really think Stevie Wonder has just one harmonica, or Nile Rodgers has just one guitar? I've just been reading about Elton John, who has "at least four touring piano systems".
Even the lesser known guys on YouTube - how often do you see they just have one MPC, one synth?
I'm not even at that level, and I've got multiple turntables, mixers, speakers, amps, controllers, lights, stands, computers, keyboards, samplers…
I wonder how many Maschines DJ Buck Rodgers has in total? 🤔
maschine 3.2 desktop software has just been released, so they are working hard…
Sorry, but no – there is no compatibility between M3 software and Maschine+. You can, of course, open a project made on Maschine+ in M3, but not the other way around. The only option is to bounce everything to audio and recreate the project manually on Maschine+.
BTW It’s completely absurd to have to chase them for information and support that was promised many months ago…
That's Simon from NI
Any news? Community update?
Hey @Chris_NI any news about update? Maybe @Matthew_NI knows something?
