Anyone know when (if they are on the same release schedule as usual) Komplete 14 is due to come out...?
This summer...?
One option of a better way would be that the KUCE would include access to all interim NI branded content between version upgrades.
The premium purchase tier would no longer be about getting those last few morsels of high end content, but would be this better concept of getting the interim NI content.
MUCH more befitting the "Colllector's Edition" name.
I have the Ultimate Collector's Edition. I really don't see why it'd be that difficult to allow prepurchase of the next iteration and receive the interim software in the meantime until it's officially released.
I've learned to stop buying mostly in between Komplete updates, and take it easy on Maschine Expansions. The less you buy in between upgrades, the more interesting the Komplete bundles get. Otherwise you kind of pay twice for a lot of instruments.
That being said, until all NI software will be Apple M1 native I will not be buying anything anyway.
Same here, I’ve bought some Expansions, but until everything is M1 native, I’m not going to upgrade my Komplete Ultimate Edition.
This would work better via a subscription model.
Was looking for info on this as well. My guess would be yes. They seem to upgrade/update Komplete every year during the summer.
I guess it might be September/October 2022. If 2 year´s release pattern keeps on.
The recent prediction from NI that next version of Komplete Kontrol is due out in 3-4 months coincides with a release of Komplete 14 this Sep/Oct.
So for those who already own Komplete bundles and plan to upgrade this Fall, it makes little sense to buy anything from NI now that will be part of those upcoming bundles.
I strongly wish NI would offer an "Early Access" purchase of the upcoming Komplete 14 bundles that would provide access to all the interim products that would typically be included. And NI can still excite us for the eventual release with teasers about a few surprise new products that will be released simultaneously with Komplete 14.
Offer this "Early Access" Purchase at the midpoint between version releases. So loyal Komplete users can enjoy all the interim products much sooner.
This would even out the cash flow in a way similar to a subscription.
Deals that NI has made with developers who get a different cut based on bundle vs separate could have a "freshness" factor that would adjust this cut within a bundle. This would provide some incentive for developers to improve older products.
Here's a tally of new stuff since Komplete 13 was released:
KONTAKT LIBRARIES
PLAY SERIES LIBRARIES
EXPANSIONS
MASSIVE X EXPANSIONS
Looks like 14 is getting really closer.
Thomann offering Native Instruments Komplete 13 Ultimate Coll. Ed. for 1050 €.
😃😃😃😃
NI has currently this "THE BIGGEST KOMPLETE 13 DISCOUNTS" sale going on:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/komplete/komplete-13/
Thomann just adjusted their pricing to it by the looks of it.
Yes, but it says, what it says.... K14 aproaching... Soon.
Thank you for the link, Monochrome.
I was being told it was 1599 €.
@F1308
That is right, 1599 is normal price. There is temporary and very rare Sale of full version Komplete Bundles. Ussually, only Updates/Upgrades go to Sales....
Like Kubrak noted, that's the normal 'Full Version' price you'd have to pay if you didn't own any Komplete software yet.
If you visit the actual pricing page for the CE, it should say €999 due to the sale 🙂
