NKS Libraries now available for the nightfox Audio suite of plugins. Available separate or as a full collection.

Presets are all fully tagged and also include banks for the different plugin categories. All available controls are mapped, sound previews included and library artwork.

Update Available: XLN Audio Addictive Drums

XLN Audio Addictive Drums

An update is now available for all Addictive Drums libraries. Latest version of all libraries is 3.0.1

This update sets the channel Pitch control to ON for all channels in all kits:

This control is set to OFF for some kit channels and is not available for Host Automation control so cannot be mapped to a control in NKS. This means for some kits, adjusting the pitch for the channel has no effect until you enable the pitch control. This proves to be problematic for blind users who cannot easily access this control so I have now set this to be enabled by default for all channels in all kits. 

Please note, this change may affect the sound of some kits that may have had the channels pitch set OFF but with a pitch offset adjusted already. You can set the controls for the affected channel to center to basically set the feature OFF or manually switch the pitch control back off if needed. 

I still maintain backups of all previous releases so if this proves to be a problem I will release optional versions of the original setting and this enabled setting so if you have feedback please let me know.  

This is optional, if this has never affected you then no need to update however if you rely on access to adjust pitch from the keyboard then this should now open up this possibility correctly now and not require it to be enabled. This change was based on user feedback so always feel free to send your feedback or suggestions since that is what drives development.

Now Available: IK Multimedia Miroslav Philharmonik 2 NKS Library

This library was a long time coming.

This was a library that kept being put off because there was no simple way to automate a way to make the files and the structure of the instrument folders was rather complex to work through. I knew it would take a lot of time to make this one work and I was not wrong. 

This library took 3 weeks of solid part time work to generate and tag all the files and sound previews, further complicated by the fact many instrument presets offer only a limited keyzone requiring having to pick through carefully and render out different previews for different instruments. 

The Philharmonik instrument is designed to allow building of up to 16 part orchestral “multi instruments” and while NKS browsing makes it super fast to find instruments, it can only allow loading of the first part. If you wish to add additional parts this much be done manually after the first instrument is loaded since NKS will overwrite what you do. 

However, it now opens up all 2700+ instrument presets for quick browsing and allows control over the instruments macro controls, volume and pan. 

The library works with the Philharmonik 2 plugin, currently does not support loading within Sampletank. It also works with the Philharmonik 2 library allowing selection by banks of either the Philharmonik 2 or 1 library. The “CE” library is not currently available. 

Note that Philharmonic plugin is not supported by M1 in Native mode on mac. I may look at releasing a version that works in SampleTank, however this will really depend on interest as I am not a huge fan of working with IK plugins.

Hopefully this proves useful for users, it has been asked for a few times and I am now happy to have this one finally completed because I would not like to invest that time again. 

Now Available: Universal Audio Anthem Analog Synth NKS Library

New NKS library now available for UAD Anthem Synth. 

Presets have all been tagged with info pulled from the plugin and converted to NKS compatible tagging. All artwork and sound previews are also included. 

There is a small anomaly with this plugin, the same as with PolyMAX synth. It appears that a few of the controls when adjusted cause many of the host automation parameters to disappear. The Mod FX and Space FX “Mode” press button causes many of the last few pages of controls to vanish in the NKS template when adjusted. The sound is fine but these controls seem to cause the regeneration of new parameters on the fly which affects the NKS template. This is only an issue when adjusting these parameters or switching presets in the plugin (that causes this parameter to change). Loading presets from NKS will always be fine but be aware of this issue which is plugin related so nothing I can do other than to force-fix the mapping issue which I have done in this library. Everything else functions as expected.
