Isn’t this what Auto Gain is for in Traktor?
Hi - I just wanted to jot this down here while it is fresh in my mind, while working with some older tracks tonight - like 90s dance…, the volume is lower compared to todays music, it would be nice to have an option to NORMALIZE tracks to todays volume automatically (like a non-destructive auto boost). This way I don't have to worry about gain staging older tracks. Maybe a setting that could be turned off and on on each deck that would detect the volume and add Xdb to it (that could be set in the settings).
You can get a V10 mixer and use the compressor.
@Scott Frost Pages 50-52 of the manual…
exactly. and as a side note: also the intergratet ozone maximizer could be helpful with this type of music but not only for one deck. it's more a overall boost / limiter type.
Yes I am aware of auto-gain and the maximizer, but in some cases it's not enough.
I can normalize the volumes in the files if needed, but that takes time and I have done some of that, but I think that the auto-gain would work on TOP of this.
Almost like a remastering on the fly.
It was just a thought. Thanks all!
