MAC USERS - DO NOT UPDATE TO LATEST 4.2.034 UPDATE -

This new update 4.2.034 has crashed on me five times since updating.

It crashes when I attempted to set the grid marker.

All Im doing is importing music and occasionally when I go to set the grid, it crashes.

Ive already lost hours of work, building a new library and adding many songs at a time, its extremely annoying when it crashes doing the simplest task and I lose all the work I just did.

Ive tried different buffer settings. This happens in standalone mode when Im just adding music and adjusting the beat grid.

So far its crashed 6 times since Ive updated the software yesterday.

Is there a way to roll it back to the previous version?

Go to /Applications/Native Instruments/Traktor Pro 4/Backup. There you will find all previous versions of Traktor Pro 4 you had installed on this machine. Just open the old app from there. Old settings and library are retained within your user folder →Documents/Native Instruments/ too.

To verify that this is a general issue or only is an issue in certain circumstances it would be helpful if you could provide more details: Which Mac are you using? Still Intel or Apple Silicon? Which version of macOS are you using?

There is a mapping command that saves all settings. Have it handy on a spare button - learned it hard way too.

i've mapped Cmd+S to save settings. Do it once in a while when working. and definitely do it before closing traktor

Is that in Controller Manager → Add in … → Global → Save Traktor Settings ?

Can you share the crashlogs with us? That way it's easier for NI to fix the crashes.

No, to save your collection it's: Controller Manager → Add in → Browser → Tree → Save Collection
