maschine records at different volume level than what was played
When I record on a keyboard the volume is louder when playing. The recorded loop playback is a little quieter. I'm recording a project in Ableton running Maschine as VST. This happens with all my vst instruments.

Could you give more information on your setup? What do you record exactly? What soundcard are you using? What's your operating system? How do you monitor the input? There might be a volume difference between your mon, itoring and the playback, if it's happening in one of Maschine's track, the volume of the track has an impact as well as the overall volume of the master out of Maschine.

Macbook Pro M1 Sequoia 15.3.2, Behringer U-Phoria UMC 404HD (4 channels in)
I just have speakers set up to the main outs. I have a vst or instrument loaded into a sound (happens with all but for example Amplified Piano from Amplified Funk expansion). When I play a 4 measure melody while recording it is louder when playing than when the recording plays back. I usually adjust my volume settings with a sound during a loop by holding down select and the sound while volume button is activated and can turn the volume up or down.

Does this happen when you play with a keyboard or pads? If you draw the notes in the MAschine desktop software do you get the same issue?

@Jeremy_NI Does not happen when drawing notes in the software that I can see. The note is not played when first drawing the note. Maybe there's another way to draw notes but I'm not sure how. The issue does not seem to happen when playing notes on the pads. Just seems to happen when playing with keyboard. I have two keyboards connected via midi and not usb. One midi is connected to the maschine and the other midi is running through my soundcard. Both are having this issue.

Ok, so I would suspect a MIDI loop here, can you post a screenshot of your MIDI preferences in Maschine? Inputs ands Outputs?

@Jeremy_NI there isn't a midi preferences in machine when running as vst as far as I can tell. Here is midi preferences in ableton.

@Jeremy_NI was this not the right midi preferences? Any other ideas before I open a support ticket?

I'm not sure the Remote needs to be ticked for the Maschine Jam input, better to check with my colleagues!

Remote In allows to create midi mappings while Remote Out sends feedback to the midi controller
