More information on future updates M+

I really don’t know if Replika (any version) would ever come to M+

But in this case, I DO understand if NI would eventually include more FXs (or other features) in future updates. Giving everything in a single release would look less “we are constantly adding things and developing the device”. Better to give something now, then more later, then more next year…(if we are lucky)

I just looked up the manual for Replika XT, and the Pattern options and Tape Delay would indeed be nice to have! But the Dual mode plus the additional effects could be a bit too much for the M+ to handle. And Raum also offers some delay options. The question is, how much of an advantage Replika (XT) would provide over the already available delays.

@MaikR Your issue when swapping cards would IMO be expected, as there must be some kind of database of installed items, which would have to be stored on the cards rather than internally, as cards can be swapped.

Maybe there's an internal record of which card was last booted, so when it detects a different card, it has to check to see if anything's changed (like the startup scanning on the desktop apps).

But in this case, I would have jumped in IMMEDIATELY to say “The wait IS OVER!” 😂

Plus…I don’t know how many people in the world own a M+, but I doubt it would be millions of users taxing the server load.

Although I’m sure that every single M+ user would be there trying to have what they waited for so long (minus the people like me waiting anyway at least some days, scared by another “not so polished, bugs free, not perfectly working” release and counting on braver people to do the dirty work for them. Even because I suspect that reinstalling previous version in case of something going wrong would be a nightmare on M+ (if even possible), since even on desktop NI tries to make it a…let’s just say…not so straightforward experience) 😂

The more delays we can have, the better it is 😂

Being a delay freak, I always find that all of them have something that makes them different from the others. And Replika, in its ballpark, is a good one.

But…let’s not start asking for “please give us this and that more” just few minutes after the long awaited update has been released… let’s enjoy what they gave us and silently pray for our hopes to become true in the future 😂
