tbh I was referring to other users in the past, didn’t point the finger at you, sorry for not being clear on that. But honestly, having an argumentation or disagreement with some folk just doesn’t work, it’s like some people are just programmed bots who give random answers designed to create a gap between people.

    Greetings fellow users,

Is anyone aware of a granular synth app working on M+ standalone, using on-board audio files?

    Thanks in advance …

Every piece of music hardware has issues during its release years. A lot of famous musicians made the music that you live with equipment that by today's standards is TRASH! That's where creativity shines, the process and techniques that those legends created was to get around a roadblock that they had. Now we look at them like that's a super dope technique but at the time it was created, it was to overcome the limitations of their gear and era.

I'm all for giving feedback and constructive criticism but a large portion of "USERS" are just crying because they are impatient. Let's be real if you can't make music with it now you'll never be able to make music with it.

@ozon This is my opinion, I think the bounce to audio upgrade is what they are waiting on. Yes the FX and individual plugins could be added whenever they feel like it. Most likely in testing they found that the CPU got taxed quickly with the extra FX and "new" massive. This is just my guess.

The company I work for does the same thing when we release software for our Robots.

That's a tough one, no I haven't found one yet but we might be able to cook something up in Reaktor. Getting it to work with onboard audio files is going to be the tough part.

Edit:I've seen some good stuff made in Reaktor just never attempted a granular synth. You have my wheels turning now.

Please stop lecturing us on what we should think and how we should act — you don't know us. Most of the people here continue to make music on Maschine despite its bugs and technical issues. This thread was created to put pressure on the developer and also to understand why the device hasn't received support or updates for so many months.

I believe you're right on many points, but there's no need to take a patronizing tone or present your opinions as absolute truth. I know quite a lot about house music and how to create it, and I don’t need unsolicited advice or “revealed truths” to keep going.

Might be, but I don’t think so. Raum is one of the more CPU intensive effects of the NI portfolio, and it was included right from the start. The Mod Pack and Crush Pack effects, which are probable candidates, should have no more impact on the CPU than Phasis (which is part of the Mod Pack). Naturally you can’t run the same number as with the internal effects, but it would still be better to have them than not. Regarding Massive 1.5.7, I don’t think adding the NKS2 interface considerably impacts CPU load.

Glad your wheels are humming !

I have done a very basic porting of user-created Reaktor ensembles to M+ using a recipe which is referenced in this thread but whose content has disappeared since. Now M+ supports Reaktor 6 - I don't understand what the impact is. I have seen a video by blezzbeats- he simply ports a vocoder ensemble and uses different pads/channels and panning for inputs. I thought perhaps something similar has/could be achieved using Reaktor. There are a number of user-created granular synths.
