For a start you need to install the VST3 version of Kontakt and the other plugins you have NKS for

    Thank you very much again
I install KONTAKT again to have the VST3 version reinstalled and now KK is working fine
The only issue I have is that lots of instruments that I only have in AU keeps populating the library browser even when they are not installed any more as VST3 (see pic)
Any idea how to get rid of those thumbnails?

The VST3s that I do have installed (they're not available in AU format) are accessible from the drop down menu, no idea why they're not available with thumbnails as the others

Thanks again for your help and prompt replies

BTW it seems that KK 3.4.0 eliminate the option LOAD FIRST PRESET

Is it possible to get it back

Fortunately is still available in KONTAKT 8

    Really appreciate all your help

It depends on what you want to do with those plugins. Clearly what has happened is these plugins are meant to be integrated with Komplete Kontrol so have installed the NKS resources to support that, but if you have the deleted the VST3 then they are now non functional thumbnails.

So either reinstall the VST3 so they work again in Komplete Kontrol or delete the NKS resources (at least the .nksf files that are showing in the browser) - to do that right click on them in the browser and open the location in finder, then delete the associated.nksf files for that plugin (but be careful not to delete anything else).

That is trickier though, personally I’d rather have them fully functioning in KK

Thanks Matthew. I won't be using Clean My Mac again, but I also am not in a position to trust KK. 3.4.0 as I was advised by NI through a support ticket that they are investigating a bug, and that this could well have been the case. Please see attached screenshot.

if it’s the bug with plugin scanning in some systems, so far it’s only been on Windows so you should be ok

And regardless, that bug is fixed in 3.4.1 that came out just now.

I'd try again! You won't be able to trust KK unless you update and it works, right?

One thing I've noticed is that they have changed the way they scan plugins in both Maschine and KK, instead of the scan app in the usual place, they now have a ni-plugin-info app. This app requires newer MacOS operating systems (doesn't work in Monterey, assuming you are using the workaround to get KK working).

Hey everyone, just an update on this:

Today I updated to 3.4.1 with no issues 👍🏻

This is a little further evidence against Clean My Mac, but after what happened, I've decided to schedule NI updates for days when I have no bookings and time to fix if problems arise.

Thanks again to everyone who helped out :)

    Glad it's working!

I can only reiterate this article; as a cautionary tale to future readers of this thread.

    Hi,
I'm back and this time things are worse than ever :(
I'm not sure what I did but now KO is not working at all with almost any library nor plugins (NI or 3rd)
I though it could be due to some "free trail" libraries that I've installed so before coming back in with this walk of shame here I've tried almost everything I have in my book

To cut a long story short I fully uninstalled every trace of NI from my M1 Studio Max and started from the scratch all over again. I download everything from NI (Native Access, Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt Player 6, 7, 8 and all the libraries I have available)
Nothing loads up in KO but some VST3 that I access from the Pop-Down menue (They are not showing up in the Library Browser)

Las time my problem was I've uninstalled KONTAKT 8 VST3 so I reinstalled it and everything was working great

This time the problems started when I unplug my External Drive where I have all my libraries. When I reconnected it and open Kontakt all my libraries were not available. So I reinstall them all. That was the only thing I remember having done that could have had some bad FX on KO and now it's not working at all.

    Any idea
I'm hopeless since I already tried the NUKE option uninstalling everything and starting back from zero with no luck

PS: I have a final TOTAL DESTRUCTION/END OF HUMANITY option. That is TIME MACHINE. But I rather not use it.

    M1 Studio Max

    OSX Mojave 14.7.2

    Native Access 3.17.0

    Komplete Kontrol 3.4.1

    Kontakt Player 6, 7, 8.3.0

    Ableton Live 12.1.1

    😪

You need to install the NKS version for the Arturia plugins

    See this thread

Thanks again for your prompt reply, and all your work and shared knowledge I didn't' know where to install these nksf files so I put them in this locations:
    /Users/{YourUsername}/Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/{PlugInName}
    /Users/Shared/NI Resources/dist_database/{PluginName}

No luck so I assume these are not the right places
BTW After doing. just this I've lost access to all VST3 Arturia plugins from the Pop-Down menu (This KO has a temper)

And this is for fixing 3rd Party Plugins issue, but what could be happening with NI Library like Analog Dreams and the others I've installed and keep having the following message

These original Libraries should be ready to go with KO but they're not working

    Thanks again

The problem with VST3 disappearing was due to AU plugins location not being added automatically during the Library/Database rebuilding process, which I did to start from scratch after any changes. Weird since KO only recognize VSTs but in this case it needs scan AU for this to work (crazy!!!)

But after all this back and forth which is weird to me is the fact that starting from scratch I'm not being able to run just NI libraries with I just installed following NI directions.

What infuriates me the most is that I was not much into NI libraries but I wanted to get a KO Keyboard to benefit with the "seamless integration" and here I am with a Premium price keyboard that works just like any other cheap MIDI controller

    Sorry for the rant
Am I missing something REALLY BIG and basic?

What else can I do beside starting from the very beginning with NI? Should I erase all other Plugin and Music Software in my M1 and start like if I'd just be borne?
