I purchased a used Maschine MK I from American Music in Seattle. Wasn't given a serial number. Help?

Hello. Like the question above I purchased a used Maschine MK I. When I try to enter a serial number for the software it requires 25 digits. I do not see it anywhere on the original box or on the underside of the hardware. Any idea how to go about retrieving the serial number? Or am I out of luck with getting the software? I can return it within 10 days so if its a no go then that's what I'll do. Thank you in advance for any help.

The MK1 was discontinued and isn't supported by the current Maschine software so I don't think you can buy it standalone now. Support will often help out with a copy of the supported software (Maschine 2) if you can provide them with the Maschine serial number and a copy of the receipt. Yes, I understand that the MK I is not supported. I downloaded the software and factory data from their legacy section of their site. They still have everything available for download. It's the MK II version. What I don't have is the 25 digit serial number. On their website it says, "

If you kept the original product box, you can also find a barcode sticker on the outside displaying a 14-digit number. This can be used to reference the original serial number."

I have the original product box and I have the barcode with the 14 digit number. What I don't know is how to "reference the original serial number" Where do I put in the 14 digit number to get the 25 digit number? Their support bot is useless.

Any ideas as to how I use the 14 digit number to reference the serial number for registration? I emailed customer support but have not heard back from them.

Generic barcode numbers is not a representation of valid hardware serials. If you have a problem getting the product registered then you need to contact N.I. Account Support

All such issues are handled exclusively by N.I. Account Support

Contact N.I. Account Support with proof of purchase and a picture of the serial on bottom of device and explain the situation and see if they can help you get the software needed

Usually that means that the ticket were not made (people did not get any confirmation) or ticket were made but N.I. response went into peoples email spam folder or sometimes response has been seen sent to an old email address. If this is a present issue then please respond with quoting my post and I will ask N.I. forum Customer Care to take a look.

I doubt I have the receipt anymore. This was like 4-5 months ago and I simply decided to not care anymore afterwards.

@Jeremy_NI , iNate didn't receive any response in connection with trying to register his secondhand hardware months ago. Is this something that you think is worth do a follow up on now ?

I really appreciate your willingness to help, but it's not a huge issue as I am not "missing" anything as a result of this.

It's just something I wanted to do to Cross the T's and Dot the I's.
