Garritan libraries not working
Hi - I'm trying to use Garrison Jazz and Big Band in Kontakt - I get the 'the path is invalid' notice.
I cannot find a nicnt file for the garrison stuff which is located in my shared file along with all the other Kontakt stuff.
I'm using a silicon mac with Sonoma.

Are you sure that the product that you have is for use with Kontakt ? and not ARIA Player ?
Version 3 of Garritan Jazz & Big Band apparently is for use with ARIA Player.
Else maybe you could ask Garritan Support ?

Is that a Kontakt library? I thought it used the Aria engine?

I think I am mistaken in the belief that the Garritan libraries will open in Kontakt. They show up in Native Access. Many thanks for your input.

If they show up in Native Access maybe I am mistaken? I can’t see why a non NI product that doesn’t use Kontakt would otherwise show in NA?

My apologies : I stand corrected : Available Support for Kontakt Based Garritan Instruments.

But the Garritan Jazz & Big Band is not listed in the Service Center and Legacy Products End of Life , Garritan Jazz is listed though ?

I feel a little vindicated! It’s a shame that the shelf life of these splendid resources seems to be compromised by the pace of development of the host. I can still access by using the Aria player (for the time being….) so convenient to work within Kontakt though

Yes , my apologies once more , I did try to locate the Kontakt version initially but while I do a mean Google then I failed, and then I only found it later because I changed the tactics - yes I do that too sometimes 😁
But at least I found it myself and did a self error-recovery which is a nice thing to be able to do 😀
Sorry that I have not been able to assist in a better way myself 🙂

many thanks for taking the trouble - it is interesting to read through the Garritan pdf :• No Sampler Required – The entire Jazz & Big Band library is integrated with a Native Instrument Kontakt™ Player. You will not need to purchase a separate sampler.
Hmmm. I’ll let this one go…….
