Maschine Mikro mk3 support in macOS Sequoia/Sonoma
I found a number of (unresolved and closed?!) threads more than 1y old, talking about the lack of support for the Maschine Mikro mk3 in macOS Sonoma.
We're pushing March 2025, and I'm still unable to use my MMmk3 with my Mac Ultra M2, as it doesn't recognize it as a MIDI device. Frustratingly, the Controller Editor sees the device and I am able to edit assignments. But as a controller, it's a colorful paper weight.
Any word or updates on support?

Are you using it in maschine or another daw

If the Controller Editor sees the Mikro then the computer and OS recognise it - so when you say "it doesn't recognize it" (with the second "it" presumably being the Mikro), what is the first "it"?

Thanks for responding, folks!
I used Logic (and occasionally other hosts and DAWs). Encouraging to hear it works; it is def something about my setup.
Excellent question, I should have made myself clearer. I meant to say macOS doesn't seem to recognize the Mikro as a MIDI device. The hardware is detected by Controller Editor; e.g. in MIDI mode, I can navigate pad pages with the
GROUP + PAD n
combo, and the software reflects the navigation. I can also set a new color for one of the pads, and the device follows it. It also works perfectly fine in "native" (? non-MIDI) mode with Maschine 2 software perfectly. However, the Mikro does not show as a MIDI device in macOS Audio MIDI Setup app, so I can't use it with any host other than Maschine 2 (which is not a thing in my workflow).
Cheers,
