Kontakt 8 not updating

Latest version is 8.2 but no sign of that in Access. Had to install the initial version manually as it didnt show in my Komplete 15 upgrade.
Whats the best way to get it installed 'Correctly'?

Are you using latest version of Native Access for your OS ?
Else try resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access
Also try running N.A. as an Administrator.
Else alas then if the problem persists then you probably need to contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .

8.1 is installed and reading the install notes 8.2 is mentioned. However only 8.1 is installed. Yes using the latest access and have deleted the file + reinstalled K8. Still the same.

I think your problem a bit peculiar. Alas I do not have any links to any newer Kontakt version than 8.1.0.
Besides that you ought to check if the NTKDaemonService is running in the services list when N.A. is running then the only thing that I can think of to try to possibly change anything would be to do things a little different.
Try uninstalling Kontakt 8 once again and then exit N.A. and then run the Regtool and then remove Kontakt 8 there also ( Fixing Software Update Installation Issues)
Then reboot
Then download and install KONTAKT 8.1.0 as an Admin (in case of download problems then try logging in into Google first, if that don't help then copy the download to own Google drive before the download )
then reboot
then run N.A. to see if that made any difference , if not then alas then if the problem persists then you need to contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .

@PoorFellow I think I have a similar situation as you and it may have to do with your MacOS as I was informed by @Jeremy_NI that Kontakt 8.2 requires MacOS 13 minimum. As I have Monterey on my 2015 iMac, my native access only shows Kontakt 8.1 and no 8.2 update. I have been writing on several threads for the last few days to request that NI do something about the 8.2 update for those with older computers. The solution can’t be to tell us to go buy a newer computer as our machines was working well until we bought installed the latest Komplete and Kontakt.
So check you computer specs to see whether the OS meets the minimum requirement for Kontakt 8.2.0 -
Computer spec is fine and is installed correctly on another less spec'd pc.

Same over here. I just bought a library for 99 Euros (and I own a LOT of NI stuff). Didn't show up. OK, figured it needs Kontakt 8 (or player). Tried to install Kontakt 8player … only works as this new "Bundle" thing - very annoying. OK, downloaded the whole "Beginners bundle" thing, flooding my NI access with stuff I neither want or need. And: Still no Kontakt 8 Player. OK, bought the Kontakt 8 full version (another 99 Eur) - still the library does not show up. then I see: "needs Kontakt 8.2" - I habe bought and received Kontakt 8.1 it seems (once again: for another 99 Euros)
Now I see this thread and I am … not happy to say the least. I mean, seriously: I have just spent 200 Euros for an instrument I can not use it seems - because my Montery 12.6 (see KennyOgunleye) is "too old" ?
I am aware one has to check spec's before buying … I dos this all the time: but PLEASE NI are you serious ?? "Claire Avant" works on 8.2 but not on 8.1 Kontakt, meaning I should buy a new MacStudio for around 2500 Euros If I want to use this library ? "Works only on Kontakt 8, not Kontakt 7" … OK, I get it, but 8.2 yes, 8.1 no ???

My problem has nothing to do with what OS I'm using as 1; I'm using win10 and 2; its installed correctly on another (less spec'd) pc. I used the same Komplete 15 update on both computers. Kontact 8 didnt show up in Ni access on the problematic one and was given a manual install. Hopefully the team are back in work today and I can get a solution. Will post.

If the product can not be used by you because your OS is too old then please approach N.I. Purchase Support and ask if you can have a refund. I have no say in this but it is highly likely that you can get a refund :
