your system, your apps and Native Access version (at least), can not provide you any useful answer or solution…However, as a general solution, please read this article and follow the suggestions:

it's a bug in the latest Native Access update and installer.
I got the same message when trying to update Native Access from within Native Access today - it said "Please grant permission to Native Access to install dependencies. Please restart Native Access and try again." so I did and then it failed to update with the same warning. So I dl'd the installer, same issue. So I uninstalled, then installed pervious version.
All my NI stuff is up to date, except NA :)1 -
so how we fix it ive been working on mine for 6 hrs
I just paid for the full update with the sounds and now in a week this happen

Having the same issues. I have tried everything to fix it, but keep getting "Service 'NTKDaemonService' failed to start" warnings, even when using the NTKDaemon installer. Am running everything as Admin, rebooting after every step (install/uninstall etc) but not having luck.
Just bought Traktor 4 and the Legacy version does not show it.
I will be contacting Support about this - it's maddening.0 -
What do you mean "the Legacy version does not show it"?
Are you still using the old Native Access 1 in Windows 11 ??? 😳
i hope not… however, if yes, then please remove it immediately and install Native Access 2!
It is simply impossible to see any new application with this archaic NA version.
Plus that it may cause a lot of other problems too.

Of course I tried that first, but an NA2 issue is what led to this. I could not install it as the Daemon service was not starting (a problem I have seen many others have). The list of fixes I attempted was quite long. I only installed Version 1 again to see if Traktor 4 would show, but of course, it didn't. Trust me, I tried all manner of fixes, from stuff suggested here to other solutions I found elsewhere. None of them worked, until….
I finally found someone in this community that provided a simple fix. It was all a matter of updating (or repairing) the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributables (both x86 and x64s) and making sure Microsoft .net Framework version 9.0 was installed.
That being said, if you are reading this and are having issues installing Native Access 2 and the Daemon service is not starting, read this;https://community.native-instruments.com/discussion/26991/ntk-daemon-error-service-ntk-daemon-service-failed-to-start

I understand. However, whatever issues you may have with NA 2, going back to the legacy version is never the solution.
That said, i know about the solution you mention. However, i think that nobody suggested it, simply because updating such services as the Visual C++ (among many other system apps) it is a "must do asap" case, very well known even since 20 years ago… We assumed that everyone should be aware of that. Such updates are absolutely critical, essential, even mandatory on a computer.
No matter what, thumbs up for the fact that you didn't gave up and you searched until you found solution! I respect that a lot. Most people just give-up and then only complain. 🙏

My problem, as it seems, is that I expect software to behave the same over time, and it has been *ages* since I have had to deal with C++ issues. Plus my hope is that Windows update is doing its job (and we all know how well that works sometimes).

Ah… you saw it 😋
I actually read it a second time and decided to remove it! Mostly for the reasons you mentioned.
Anyway, now you know: Never trust Windows! Always take a manual look from time to time.
Regards!
Note: If it helps, i use this free application and never miss an update on anything!

I was slapping myself for not thinking of that, but like said, I haven't had to deal with C++ nonsense since 2 laptops ago. Leave it to me to find the hardest way to not get something to work properly.
I would like to add - in all of the support guides, no mention of updating these common components is mentioned. If it was such a common issue, you'd think they would be included as "first thing" solutions. They throw all manner of stuff out there, including adding permissions in The Local Group Policies.
At any rate - Cheers big ears!0
