So anything with 16 pads is competition, so every 16 pad MIDI controller that ever existed, the Roland Fantom keys etc, or are we going to move the bar again of what is competition, or is it just better if competition is just MPC?

Try setting up a bunch of multisample instruments and trigger them on different MIDI channels on the MPC, see what happens ;) (Not really what it is designed for, and that is the point)

No! Not everything with 16 pads!

Please take the time to read the original post again. In it raphaël_ said that the MPC60 pad layout was inspiration for many devices. He did not say that all those devices were competition for the Maschine.
