Rane Sixty Four Midi Mapping Issue (win10 and win11)

When I try to map the midi buttons on my Rane Sixty-Four mixer to TS I can't as the Rane Sixty doesnt show listed in the Midi in or Midi outport on the controller manager page.

Problems with windows 10 and 11. When I try it on my older laptop running windows 7 it shows up in the ports.

Ive installed the ASIO driver and audio/dvs side of thing all seems good. But for whatever reason I can get the midi side of things work. If its just a generic midi controller then any reason it won't show in win10/11? Doesnt appear in ableton midi devices either.

    Got it all working now.

    Heres how-

    1. Created 100gb partition on existing OS drive. I just used windows to shrink my c drive by 100gb so that I had space for older win10 os.


    2. Created a usb boot drive using rufus to last supported version "Windows 10 version 1909 (build 18363)". Great tool that will download previous versions of Windows and make boot usb drive. Version is the last one supported according to -https://serato.com/dj/hardware/rane-sixty-four

    Rufus guide I used - https://youtu.be/cnvs-Nu-yQg


    3. Booted from USB and installed windows to this new 100gb partition.

    Then installed all my drivers for motherboard gpu etc and set windows to never update before going online. This will ensure i stay on working version. https://www.cleverfiles.com/howto/disable-update-windows-10.html


    4. Installed serato/rane driver from 2.5.5 from link above. Done all the serato performance recommendations as stated here - https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us/articles/203057850-Optimization-Guide-for-Windows

    At this point I had my mixer back running with serato even better now as os clean and setup for audio performance.

    5.Installed Traktor Pro3. Setup audio and now the mixer shows up as midi device in the port. Imported the TSI file for mixer from here - https://www.macprovideo.com/article/audio-hardware/how-to-setup-traktor-with-the-rane-6264-dj-mixer


    All working great in both serato and Traktor. Not done any mixes yet but sure itll be solid and all mappings seemed to work.


    Also got a rufus bootable usb pendrive ready to do to any pcs in future

    Going to do my new laptop as well.


    **Conclusion- Rane Sixty mixers stop working with Windows after Windows 10 version 1909 (build 18363),. Its not just stop working with Serato which I previously thought**

    I now believe its a Rane/driver issue.

    After a certain windows 10 update -" 1909 (build 18363)" the midi side of mixer stops working with windows.

    It doesnt show up in any software as midi ports/device.

    I had originally thought the mixer only had issues connecting with serato and had thought I could still use it with traktor.

    Im going to partition my had drive to dual boot it so I can have an older Win10 version purely to use with my rane mixers.
