NAMM 2025: Introducing the NKS Hardware Partner Program

Wow, theres a lot of bickering in here…
Im just trying to follow up on the nks program. everyone should know how things go with Co's and products, some offers are for everyone some are exclusive. In any case im pretty sure things will cross over or there will be something exclusively for Mashine users.
And No!!1
not paid, sponsored or anything of the sort.

it looks like Native Instruments is getting ready to be acquired by Inmusic, who already owns AkaiPro (converting expansions to Akai format is an easy cash cow), M-Audio etc, and for whom a takeover would be an attractive proposition.
could be a likely scenario as izotope & native instruments belong to an investment fund at the end of the day, whose shareholders are looking for a return on their investment (fattening up the pig so to speak)If that prediction is true, that wouldn’t bode well for native instruments users (cost saving exercises = less R&D and updates, more understaffing etc)
Thoughts?

It is always a possibility.
It is however nice when platforms / eco systems integrate and work better together. Sound design products like groove samples should support multiple platforms (preferably one license to support all platforms) and it makes sense for plugins to have some kind of industry standard control layer above regular Midi 2.0.The pivot towards more sound design sample products is obvious for NI with new ownership. Personally I am moving more towards Arturia products for synths though I do wonder what will happen with Reaktor and those products in the upcoming years?

Yes Reaktor really is gold and should not be left to rot away.
Tim Exile is doing some brilliant work on it still with his Scapeshift project. I should ask him if he can make things NKS 2 compatible as it's built on Reaktor

Are you trying to map a non-NI controller to Komplete Kontrol so the 8 knobs always control the 8 parameters in the software? If so, that’s already possible. Might be better to create a separate post for this.

Nothing to say yet, but the second half of 2025 and then 2026 will see a succession of significant announcements in the synth space.

Love these subtle hints. :)
And Arturia sure needs some competition.

First topic

Why not both? They're a great NKS partner after all.
I for one need both the emulated classics, and some new synths.

If this isn’t where NI is heading then this should be a wake-up call, as the way there’re moving (or not) is almost on prime time. Very bad publicity…. despite the “subtle hints” dropped here.

InMusic Brands does not have the capital, nor the funding to buy NI (my two cents).
I love emulation of classics @Matthew_NI But I'm kinda bored of everyone trying to recreate, instead of create.
I have hopes for Massive X, but I also have hopes that NI is thinking about some of the tech it has developed recently at the start and before the end of Soundwide, and how it can build new synthesis models and ideas to define a marketplace and really live up to its 'future of sound' tag.1 -
Exiting.
@Matthew_NI did anything even happen with that above 25 and under 49 keyboard you touted on the forum shortly after the S49/61 MK3 releases? ;)
Also, is Plugin Alliance joining the band wagon?
Is the limitation on the selection of FX in the FX chains for Komplete Kontrol being worked on, or even on the roadmap? That surely is an obstacle for the development/promotion of NKS as a format, which many people (myself included) would like to be dealt with.
You mentioned Arturia. Imagine if their amazing FX collection became NKS (and NKS 2.0) compatible, with the ability to browse through FX chains and control parameters on the fly.
Same thing for Soundtoys, AudioDamage, UAD (now that they've gone Native), PluginAlliance (I'm not sure if all of Izotope plugins are NKS compatible either), Waves, Valhalla etc0 -
+1 vote for this:
I love emulation of classics but I'm kinda bored of everyone trying to recreate, instead of create.
I also think that we have more than enough of this!
Build something new.

All of them (or almost all) are already NKS compatible, either officially, either by us, here:

Ok thanks.
but does these work on the newer Komplete Kontrol V3, or just up to V2.9.something?
NKS 2.0 is the next big thing I guess, because it allows for such focused control through the tabs workflow, so the likes of EFX Motion or EFX Fragments from Arturia would become beasts of their own with the Power of the Kontrol S MK30
