Really hard to understand and justify their move. Available for their direct competitor, while still unavailable for their own core user. What’s going on here? Is M+ officially abandoned?

A loyal customer since 2012 with my trusty Mk1. I loved that instant gratification and quick workflow friends had told me about when working with an MPC60 and it was expensive and difficult and I decided my first hardware purchase would be Maschine. Since then a mark2, I sold the mark1 to my friend who loved how quickly he saw me getting ideas dow. Then I got the studio nice white one, it was my pride and joy centre space in my space. When I saw the plus came out I purchased it because I always wanted that noose of the computer taken away and even though it was glitched out af initially they finally made updates to make it useable both at home and live. I decided to gift my 17rs old Nephew the Studio for his birthday with my label stickers on it and pads faded with use so many memories, was glad to see it go onto the next generation so to speak.

I think I've been a pretty decent loyal customer to NI ove the years and I've never had any real complaints. Until now. Seeing the videos of the MPC one running Analog Dreams in standalone and Ive got Maschine+ here…Im scratching my head honestly me

My only hope for NI's M+ is hopefully Akai will show them how to make a 100% standalone, because software isn't coming (as of now).

chill guys, you should all be used to being totally let down by native instruments by now. im still trying to come to terms with how they f'ed up komplete kontrol v3 software.

i must admit watching loopop's video showing the X,Y touchscreen support for akai models… is a nice touch to the NI play series….

too bad the Komplete mk3 keyboard dont support touch

I would be amazed if M+ and 3.1 doesn't at least go some way to make people more happy. I have zero knowledge about this, just giving my opinion based on working in marketing/software. It would be quite silly to not listen to core customers.

it's bad timing, f'sure. But I don't really see a big issue. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt NI had to pull anyone away from the Maschine team to handle this. If anything, wouldn't it be a sub-section of the Kontakt team putting together the sample packages, UI elements etc. and sending to Akai for them to code onto their platform?

@Matthew_NI can’t you tell how upset we all are? Wouldn’t it be prudent to appease us with some information? Don’t say “soon” my guy… we deserve better.
