How do I avoid install duplicated instruments in Komplete 15 Collectors?
Hello there.
I'm new to Kompelte and I've adquired the whole Komplete 15 pack. Viewing the list on Native Access it seems some instruments are simpler versions of other that are included, but i'm not familiar with it. For example: "Symphony Series vs Sympony Essentials", or "Valves vs Valves Pro".
Also some instruments have two versions, like "Massive and Massive X", "Action Strings and Action Strings 2", "Super 8" is listed two times. Are they different versions one from another?
In order to not to fill my SSD I'd appreciate some advice. Is there a list of this duplicated versions? Some rule to follow? How do I manage to avoid looking information case for case?
Thank you very much

How do I avoid install duplicated instruments in Komplete 15 Collectors?
I think that it's sort of the other way since when you have collectors you need to install the best version and then remove the lesser version already installed.
As far as comparing then it's a bit hard I think unless that all your software is same version , e.g. K 15 , because some libraries might have changed .
But as far as comparing then you can see what is in the different tiers of K15 on the compare page .
You can also see What's new in Komplete 15 compared to Komplete 14
You can also see what was in Komplete 14 here.
There is also a Komplete version comparison chart on Google docs.

I have nothing installed at the moment, I just bought K15 Collectors but had nothing before.
I wanted to install "everything" but I started to realize that I'd be loosing room in my SSD with duplicated instruments (or simpler versions of the same instrument).

super 8 r2 is a vst version and is not supported on m chip macs , the other super 8 version works inside reaktor full/player
massive and massive x are two different products

The libraries are the space hoggers, and in general the "Essentials" are the smaller less featured versions, and the "Pro" versions have more features. Putting libraries on an external SSD is often a good idea, as long as it's reasonable fast. Are you on Mac or PC?

I'm on mac pro and I have a 1Tb SSD dedicated for the libraries.
I'm also realising some strange thing: some libraries are shown as a DEMO once I've installed them, that is also confusing. You can compare here before and after installation. Why do they showme DEMO versions in my Native Acces, and why aren't marked as a demo before installing them? I don't find any sense.

Make sure that you have done all the must do ;
Use latest version of Native Access for your OS
ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS and disks must be of correct format : Notes on Network Drives and Disk Formats
Also then please check that iCloud Private Relay has been turned off : Native Access Error Message: "Download failed" (macOS)
Also then do not use Clean My Mac. (in particular)
And quote Kymeia : if using Sequoia then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network
Else try the resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access
If problem persists then please contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support .

Thanks PoorFellow.
In order to solve what? I'm not sure which is the focus of your recomendations.
Apart from having some (few) products labeled as demo, everything is working well for the moment. I was asking for advice in or order to understand exactly the behavior of this environment that is new for me. But nothig is malfunctioning for now.
As for this demo instruments, I'm not sure if I own them, or they just appear in my Native Access for me to try them.
Thank you.

Would also like to know what OS you are running and what version of Native Access. Something looks "off" here.

It's supposed to be like a check list. Since not doing what the check list says , as far as I understand , could eventually give one problem or the other.
Mostly then it is very important that you use latest version of Native Access for your OS , since N.A. is at the center of all activation and also gives information to Kontakt. But I do not have the specifics of all of the why's of all the rest , as little as I e.g. knows exactly how CleanMyMac screws up people's computers.
If you feel that the forum is inconvenient to use then you always have the option of contacting N.I. Native Access and Installation Support directly.

I'm in Sequoia 15.0 with Native Access 3.16.0
I checked the "demo issue" in my secondary computer (Monterey 12.6 and NA 3.16) and it appears in the same way.
