Maschine+ standalone: Kontakt sounds do not load when re-opening a project

Hi all,

I am a new Maschine+ enthusiast, except for the following:

When I load a Kontakt sound, no problem. If I close the project, and reopen it later: the kontakt sounds do not reload and I have to reload them manually one by one. Worse, they actually un-load automatically after some time (30-60 minutes)…

It seem I am not the first one with that the issue: by reading various posts, I learned that this would be the behavior of Kontakt in Demo mode. Why would it be running in Demo mode in a purchased Maschine+? Besides, I do own a license to Kontakt 7 (so it should cover Kontakt 6 on Maschine). I used to have kontakt 6 but when I updated Komplete to 14 (or was it 12?), i got K7, instead.

Well, just to say, that I saw a few posts on this, but no solutions! I tried contacting Native support, but always ended with a irritating AI without possibility to write to or chat with a human, that in a click could probably solve what appears to be a license issue.

Anyone has encountered the problem, and a solution?

Update:

I sent a video to NI support with a detailed description of the problem. (How Kontakt sounds would not load when recalling a project). The person from Tech Support has been really helpful. He scaled up the issue to a "M+ specialist", then came back to me after readjusting some of my product registrations in my account. And now everything works fine (Now, Kontakt sounds load fine upon recalling a project).

So for those that experience the exact same inconvenience (I told him I was not alone experiencing or having experienced this), a short mail to NI support should solve it.

Thanks to all that participated to this thread and thus, helped me get closer to a solution ❤️

Hey there, I see that you successfully submitted a request, my colleagues will get back to you. It's true that this issue was very present a few years ago, shortly after the initial release of Maschine Plus. It seems to happen randomly in the last months, my colleagues will assist.

Hi MaikR,

They responded, but with basic questions:
Can I see the version of Kontakt installed? which of course I cannot: M+ doesn't show it, it just says everything is installed.
Is my system up to date?: Yes (Library/system says I am up to date).

I really believe it is a demo-issue : on my Native Access, K5 and K7 show up full, and K8 as player. no trace of K6.
Now, the ball is in their court: I'll keep in touch.

Actually I do have Kontakt 6.8 in Native Access (it just titles as Kontakt, that's why I missed it), but I can see in the release notes that it is K6.8...

Yes it does show the exact version of each installed plugin or library if you choose to list the Installed items.

From the manual:

7.1.3. Viewing Products Installed in Your Library
The Library provides a list of all products installed on your MASCHINE+.
To view a list of products downloaded and installed on your MASCHINE+:
1. Press SETTINGS.
2. Use the 4-D encoder to select Library.WORKING WITH MASCHINE+ 46
3. Turn Knob 1 to select Installed.
→ All installed products are listed on the right-hand display.
4. Turn the 4-D encoder or Knob 6 to scroll through the list of installed products.
Products installed in your Library are available from the Browser.

Thank you Ozon, you are right. I just checked it (I am still a newbie!)
The version of Kontakt I have installed is 6.8.3
I will update my answer to NI support.

NI tech support suggested a full reset, which I did.

It didn't solve the problem. Kontakt still doesn't load sounds when loading a project.

I responded to them, and am waiting from them for alternative ways to solve this (I am not the only one, it's been going on for a while so they should know what to do).
