Maschine 3.0.1 gets stuck and doesn't start

I just updated to the latest software update of Maschine 3.0.1, however I cannot start it after the update. It gets stuck in plugin scan. There is no scan option in Task manager anymore which was there previously. It was there to end task scan in task manager if the scan gets stuck but not anymore?

Can NI fix the bug asap please?

Can you please attach the log file from Maschine?

Scanning of the plugins has been re-written and the scan is now happing in parallel whenever this is possible to improve the overall performance. Since not all plugins behave properly there is a timeout of 60s until the scan terminates the check of an individual plugin. (This time seems to be very long, but we encountered in our tests that the plugin check can take quite some time in Rosetta mode.)

In addition shell plugins like e.g. from Waves are now checked in a separate step and the progress is not always visible. We are aware of this and intent to improve here the feedback to the user.

Same problem here, stuck on plugin scanning, no real CPU utilization either, it's just hanging there. First time ever i've encountering this. This sucks.

What is the path to the log file for Maschine 3?

When you have an issue, can you please share the OS you are on ?

The new scan process is called ni-plugin-info. You should see it in the activity monitor or task manager.

Please share logs:

MAC: /Users/[USERS]/Library/Logs/Native Instruments/Maschine 3.log

@frkh09 Could you please check if the is still a process ni-plugin-info.exe running?

Maschine spawns for each plugin an instance of that process and checks one individual plugin. In the end none of these processes should remain, because after 60s they get terminated by Maschine and the specific plugin is marked as failed.

@frkh09, can you please try to move out C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Captain Epic\Captain Beat Epic.vst3 of the VST3 folder ?

And see if you can start Maschine 3 after that ?

I had to force shutdown and restarted Maschine3 and this is where it is stuck this time. However,

ni-plugin-info is not showing in task manager anymore..It is stuck again…this is not working at all..you must bring back scan end task functionality as it was before. The software is not usable anymore.

Do you stay there for longer than 1 minute? What is the name of the currently displayed plugin in the splash screen, it seems to be "Chain Follower". Correct?

I restarted again but this time it is now stuck at another plugin Palindrome, there is no ni-plugin in the task manager and this is what is in the log fine:

I had the same thing. I'm on Mac Ventura 13.x Also tried to force quiet the app, and restart, to no avail. Finally i restarted my laptop, and voila, after restarting the laptop Maschine also came up ok again. I noticed that when it was hanging it didn't even show me the plugin names in the Maschine popup window, but after the laptop restart it showed the names of the plugins as it would normally do.

It shows me the name of the pligins and it scans a lot of them but eventually it stops at a random plugin each time then doesn't proceed. It's very annoying, I cannot use maschine anymore..I restarted pc every time but still the same issue..
