Great thanks! Yeah… AIR seems kind of sketchy in terms of stability. Hopefully they'll get it together soon. I know the file name for these most recent Betas had "GM" in the name, so they may be hoping these are final releases. I have Xpand!2 and Hybrid.

They seem ok for me in KK3 but the big issue is none of them support migration and I doubt they ever will so patches and templates will need remaking which would be a pain

They are sketchy and I suspect it's not going to improve for KK V2.

I already suspect the presets wont migrate but I am prepared for this and have a few tools that can hopefully at the least carry tagging over from the current presets to hopefully new ones.

At the moment I dont have time to test but I hope to soon be able to dive in and check things out.

    Nexus 5 Update

Nexus 5 just released and is a nice functional update, I am currently unsure if current NKS is compatible but apparently the factory library has been updated so that will likely need some attention. I would think NKS would still be compatible, if projects can load Nexus 5 then NKS should also work.

I have already been asked if I will be updating things and I have N5 (yet tyo even install or check it out tho) and will be looking into updating it in the new year, checking to see if they have improved access to any further parameters for hosts (Nexus does not open much to the host for automation) and will be updating things as required but this will not be until the new year…

    Other Releases / Updates

I have a huge list of libraries I have either completed or are in the works including Cherry Audio latest plugins (and Synth Stack 5 bundle), Rhodes, Updates for Babylon 2, Air Music updates and many more I have been testing out and looking into, however things are at a "feature freeze" with my current website while I work on getting the new one online.

    Website Update

I am close to getting this done, time is my enemy but progress is going well. I have almost all libraries uploaded and have implemented AWS S3 storage for large libraries so downloading should be much faster and more reliable, however this will now add more overhead cost which I will have to monitor over time but should improve downloading of especially libraries over 500MB a great deal.

Accessibility has tested out to be pretty good, not perfect but hopefully I can improve things more over time but unlike the current site which is close to impossible to access in some areas, users who have helped me test things out and address some of the main problems report a pretty smooth experience all round so this is great.

Existing accounts will all be carried over IF they have libraries assigned to them (registered accounts with no libraries associated will be disregarded but can simply be registered if required). A password reset will be needed and initially accounts will not have past purchases listed but users can request a restore which I can trigger a reload. There is no simple way to otherwise import accounts tho I will be researching further, I have at least developed a scripted way to load libraries back to accounts from the previous site but this has to be done on a one-by-one basis so will be done on request which also lets me know the account and user are still active.

Any concerns, questions or suggestions while Black Friday sales are still active just let me know

    freelancesoundlabs.com Now Updated

I have finally been able to get the new site online and I am sure I will have a new set of issues to address.

I have not been able to properly stress test things and there are still a lot of small things that need to be fixed but this will all be done in time. If you happen to find an issue just let me know and hopefully I ahve the knowledge to fix it.

The first thing you will note is you will not be able to login to your account until you complete a password reset. This may be a problem if the email you registered with is no longer in-use, don't worry just let me know your account details and the new email you want to use and I will update it for you.

When you login you will also see your downloads are missing, again do not worry, just use the form provided to request a restore and these will be added back again.

You will now see a currency selector on the left of the site so you can see the price in your local currency, however thee cart will default to Australian AUD currency on checkout as that is what I can accept.

Just be aware that in the initial week I will likely have a lot of people contacting me in a panic as most people don't read the info I send out so I will likely have hundreds of accounts to sort out, I just ask for patience and if I don't get back to you within 48 hours just send a reminder.

I tried logging in, and it said I failed to pass a reCAPTCHA challenge. I didn't see any such challenge, so for now I can't log in or reset my password.

Ditto on the reCAPTCHA - it's not displaying that with login.

    Well done though!

Maybe just try again. The Captcha is invisible, it's reCaptcha V3 so it does not require to be clicked it just monitors mouse/key movements so occasionally if you are quick I guess it may deny an attempt. I have had about 40 password reset and login requests overnight so it's working for others, may have just been a glitch but let me know via the contact form if you have further issues and include what OS/web browser you are using.

Also, did you do a password reset first since you cannot login without completing a password reset as old passwords can't be carried over to the new site automatically due to how they are hashed.

For me, I setup the new password, and it didn't work first time when logging in due to recapture. Tried again just now and works fine.

I won't request purchase restore just yet, as I keep a backup of mine, and you'll probably have a ton of them to do!

Were you using the Login / Register page to login or the popup login modal where you click the little user icon top right?

There is the Login / Register page which is a static page suited for people using accessibility navigation and then there is a popup login that just makes it faster to login. The login page has a captcha on it that monitors both the login/register and password reset forms while the popup should have no captcha as technically for login you don't need it.

The issue with reCaptcha V3 is it can sometimes be sketchy especially with some of these WordPress plugins. I've had issues myself occasionally with it especially if you load a page and don't do enough mouse and keyboard actions for it to decide if you are human. I've lowered the threshold a little and still have the option to switch back to the older method of clickable captcha but trying to steer clear of the click puzzles where possible.

Submit a request anyway, i'll get to it. There has been quite a few which is good since I have not even updated my facebook page or mailed out users about the changes and so far, for the most part things seem to be working pretty good which is a huge relief.

OK, I figured it out. The reset password link takes you to the Login/Register page, which has a Reset Password expansion that I didn't notice the first time. It would be helpful if that was already expanded when you go there, but that's what I missed. All sorted now.

Yeah not sure I can make it expand it on the page for a PW reset. What I may do is simply make the reset PW a separate page, was just trying to make it simple all on one page mostly with blind users in mind but if it does trip people up separate pages may be an idea.

    @JesterMgee:
Regarding your new website and the required reset of user credentials, I initiated a password reset a while ago by clicking at the "+ Reset Password" popup icon and entering my user name. However, even after half an hour, no confirmation email has arrived, so I repeated the whole process by entering my email address instead. After all, both options were indicated to be allowed. But also in this case there was no confirmation email yet, even after another half an hour.
Of course, I also checked my local spam folder as well as the one hosted by my internet operator's webmail instance. Even though the information on your website indicates so, there's no such thing as a confirmation email in order to let me re-new my existing Freelance Soundlabs account information.
Does this PW reset need to be processed by you manually? If not, could you please check and look into your system what might be the problem? Or have I missed something else? Thanks a lot.

PW reset is automated and should work, I’ve had over 100 do a reset and request restores already.

Maybe the email on the system is different than what you use? Send me a message via the contact form stating username and the email you are using and I can check.
