Native Access Update Install Error
While doing expansion reinstalls, after being prompted over and over to update Native Access (like for the 500th time) i finally gave in and surrendered and agreed to letting the update run. Each time i would get an Error message (see the screen shot). So then i logged out of the update install process. & simply tried to log into the Maschine Software.. NO SURPRISE, i knew that would not work.. So then i tried to reinstall Native Access all over again.. Still got the same error message.
This is supposed to be an UPDATE, why am i getting all this toxic mess from an update.??
The thing is, i know if this can be resolved, when i try to log in i will be forced to reinstall ALL of my products again.. and some of them (for example, like Sonivox plugins) it will not be possible, now that they have gone out of business. When i am prompted to do registrations, i will be fuhk'd.. So does anyone have a fix for this.. Grrrrrrr
i'm tired of having to be a freaking computer technician every time i want to be creative. i know way more about fixing things than i ever wanted to be bothered with. But this is time consuming, and has already killed my work flow for what i wanted to do.. Grrrrrrr… Yesssss i'm pissed.!!!!

Are you running as Local Admin on your machine?
And - while I can see it's Windows - which OS version? AND - which version of Native Access are you actually messing around with here? Some of these dialog boxes make me think we are in the distant past here…
Update when you can.

Yes, i'm running it on Windows 10 Pro, 16GB of RAM, intel core i7 .. (i can't stand Windows 11 for many reasons, so i downgraded my Laptop - but one of the reasons was that Windows 11 would not recognize my audio interfaces). But anyway, i downloaded and tried to install the most current version of Native Access that NI has posted. The same thing with that patch. i didn't run as a Local Admin, i don't usually need to get that deep to run an update. When i'm in Native Access, and an update pops up (like almost every time i open it), it says it will run itself after i log out. The updates usually run in 2 seconds, with no problem. But this one is being a little extra..
i saw something online that i will try regarding the "Verify that you have sufficient privileges to remove system services".. But i'm in another country outside the US, and i've been up all night messing with this. it's going on 5am now.. i need to detox and give my brain a rest..
imagine, instead of simply being able to sit down and make a beat.. this got pushed in front of me instead. Its always something

These are the Installers i used.. both of them are the most current
& actually, at first .. i was already in Native Access. i had installed an expansion & did an update for Kontakt 7. Then i got the pop up to update Native Access afterwards. Thats when the drama happened..
& then i went online, and downloaded Native Access again when it would not open..
the download dates show 12-4-2024.. But the Daemon Installer shows 9-9-2024 once unwrapped

Strange thing is - I have been installing Native Access for years - and not once have I ever had to see or interact with that NTKDaemon installer and it's dialogs.
That whole install usually happens deep in the background and is managed by the Native Access 2 installer itself.
That you are having to fire this thing up and click buttons on the UI etc - tells me you have other deeper issues here - possibly like not uninstalling NAv1 or something - before you installed NAV2.
I feel like this is better handled by NI Support to be honest. Suggest you reach out for some deeper instructions on this one.

i've been using Maschine since BEFORE Native Access.. So i've been using Native Access since it was rolled out.. i never got this either. But if they developed a patch to fix the problem, i didn't invent it.. the problem is out there
