Kontakt 7 User - How many times am I going to be told that Kontakt 8 exists?
Each new instance of Komplete Kontrol that I open a Kontakt library in receives a brand new announcement that Kontakt 8 was released.
I'm WELL aware, and I'm trying to figure out why this would grant any good will. Kontakt is a professional program, at least originally intended for professional musicians. What I really don't need is to have to dismiss the notification on every new instance opened after this most recent update.
While I understand this might have been thought to be a good way to get people to pay the upgrade fee, the repeated notification is not engendering any good will towards the update.
When I'm working, I want to WORK. I don't need additional notifications getting in the way of my flow.

I work with Komplete Kontrol 3.3 everyday and i never saw such announcement!
I am pretty sure that this is a Kontakt issue, not Komplete Kontrol.
Most probably because you this option enable in Kontakt:
If so, then disable it.
"I'd suggest keeping your KK at v2.9.6"
Wrong advice. The two (and only two) reasons for someone to stay in this version is:
- If you creating NKS presets by your self, but you do not have Maschine as alternative.
- If you are still stuck on VST2 format because you have a lot of projects where you use Komplete Kontrol.
Everything else, is a fairy tale, (or an urban legend if you prefer)…

Please make sure to open Kontakt outside of Komplete Kontrol as the option is not visible from within Komplete Kontrol.

That option is not available in Player. And never will be.
If you wish to use a version of Kontakt free of charge - you need to accept the entry fee of "free" - one of which is the occasional banner like this.
If you do not wish to see banners - suggest it might be time to up your game to Full.

I use K7 daily and gave never seen this message.
Are you using K7 Player or K7 Full?

I'm using the full version of K7 (the recently updated one) and am getting the message consistently each time I start up. Which is basically ridiculous given the updated K7 is actually K8 below the surface. Why would you display that notice given that's the case?

This is intended to show ONCE ONLY to every Kontakt 7 user.
If the user dismisses the message, it should NEVER be shown again.
Are you seeing it every time you load Kontakt 7?

Every time a new instance of Komplete Kontrol is opened and a Kontakt library is opened within.

Win 10
Cubase Pro 14
Komplete Kontrol 3.3.3
Kontakt7 7.10.70 -
K7 Full 7.10.7 from within Komplete Kontrol 3.3.3 as I've got the S49 Mk2

I have 7.10.7 within Komplete Kontrol v2.9.6 with my S61MKII - and no sign of this banner at all - save the one time I saw it when I updated to 7.10.7 two days ago.

I'd suggest keeping your KK at v2.9.6 unless you'd like to be continuously reminded of K8

Well - I have remained on KK v2.9.6 for other reasons besides this issue - but this could have something to do with KK 3.3.3 - it would not surprise me.

This could be an issue with Komplete Kontrol v3 only. Seeing others in other forums mentioning this as well.

hmm I'm not sure it is that tickbox as when you load a Kontakt library from the KK browser you do not see that panel, it only exists in the Kontakt library view so I can't see how the OP is seeing that message if it appears in that particular panel (I don't know as I have never seen it since I have K8 anyway)
I think this needs further investigation and information though rather than jumping straight to conclusions (such as it being KK3 at fault).

Or you have the MK1 :)

This did resolve the issue, but it requires opening up Kontakt7 outside of Komplete Kontrol to accomplish since the option in question isn't visible when opening KK.

Each to their own my friend.
I can think of many more reasons to use KK v2.9.6 (especially with a MKII) - ranging from stability, speed, logical sub bank selections, a vastly superior preset display layout, single window action, drag and drop samples and the best one of all - it just works.
KKv3 will get there - but it is not there yet.
And if this Kontakt issue is directly related to KKv3 - there's another thing that it is lacking.
