Z1 MK2 Driver error. Audio interface selection is buggy

4.1.1
I'm experiencing problems since update 4.1.1.
On startup Traktor wants to connect with the WASAPI driver instead of the ASIO one.
"Traktor Z1 MK2 ASIO Driver (WASAPI (Shared Mode))"
Also conflict in Hardware Manager.
Sunborns workaround doesn't work for me.
When I connect via ASIO everything is working fine though. Liking the work flow with the new X1 and Z1. It just would be nice if Traktor would select the right one on startup.

That is weird, since no ASIO driver is working as WASAPI.
So, Traktor Z1 MK2 ASIO Driver (WASAPI Shared mode) should not appear at all as an option!
It might be something on your side, i don't have such option (neither i, or you, should)
I don't understand why you want to use WASAPI since you have ASIO which is superior in any aspect, but in this case, you need to choose Traktor Z1 MK2 (WASAPI Shared mode).
By the way, version 4.1.1 fixed the previous issue, so my workaround is not needed anymore.
Please have a look in the Registry at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO
andHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ASIO
If there is any folder that has WASAPI as part of its name, delete it! It has no place there.
Then open Traktor and check. If the problem remains, the only thing i would suggest for now, is to uninstall Z1 MK2 drivers and re-install them.

Hi Sunborn,
when I select the ASIO driver this option disappeares. I want to use the ASIO-Driver.
No WASAPI folder in registry.
Tried to reinstall these drivers several times.

Yep all good there. So i guess it is an internal error, inside Traktor Settings.tsi
Can you edit the file? as i described on previous page

Yes, I did. But didn't help.

Mine is worse than it was before the update too. I didn't have the ASIO driver installed because WASAPI was working fine, but I also have the audio choice that is listed as ASIO and WASAPI.
The real WASAPI driver doesn't seem to work anymore either.
As a result I've had to install the ASIO driver but it seems to be hit and miss whether it works or not. I'm also getting big CPU spikes that I wasn't getting before.

Ok, try this:
Go to Traktor directory\Backup\Settings, find an older backup that worked, rename it to Traktor Settings.tsi and replace with it the file in the main directory

Copied the file from 4.1.0 and renamed it. Same behavior.
BJQ1972 describes the same issue as mine. Also used WASAPI before.

Sorry guys, i don't have other idea or suggestion.
Maybe is a new bug but i can't reproduce it since the 4.1.1 update is working fine for me…@Matt_NI can you please check this issue as described in this comment?
