Hello, does anyone know how to map the deck level meter pre-fader on the Denon Prime 4? I need the Midi CC channel+value for the out command. How can I find that out without trying 16 channels and 127 Midi CCs?
Thanks for help
Contact Denon support. Otherwise look up for the midi implementation sheets online. Note. I just enable learn and push buttons on my Maschine JAM untill the VU lights up.
There are no midi sheets to find, no response from Denon support for Midi sheets.
The problem is it's only an Midi out command-try and error takes a lot oft time…
Reminds me to never by anything from Denon. Assignning each channel+CC number manually can take ages. This is why I mentioned my Maschine jam. I simply have all CC or Note numbers already programmed by default - All I need to do is assign Input to Maschine and the OPutput to what ever controller I need to figure out LED's (justy did this the other day for my Mixtour Pro to figure the VU meter).
Well, it's not my top priority. I mainly use the standalone mode - that's what the Prime4 is designed for
Ch.01.CC.010 is Chanel 1 for VU

Looks like Denon SC Live 4 uses the same midi messages. But if use only one setting for each channel VU meters (with 0 to 1 controller range and 0 to 127 midi range) there will be kind of weird show. @nachopenades know about it for sure I've found a solution for this For Denon SC Live 4 and Traktor Deck A it will be:
Make 6 copies of Add Out - Deck Pre-Fader Level (L+R). They are for each VU Level according to LED count (for Prime 4 it needed more copies). Map each to Ch.01.CC.010. Set controller range and midi range for each next copy as following:Controller Range 0.007 - 1
Controller Range 0.007 - 1
Midi Range 0 - 1
Controller Range 0.05 - 1
Midi Range 1 - 3
Controller Range 0.2 - 1
Midi Range 3 - 7
Controller Range 0.5 - 1
Midi Range 7 - 15
Controller Range 0.7 - 1
Midi Range 15 - 31
Controller Range 0.97 - 1
Midi Range 31 - 63
It is my settings. You can set controller range as you wish if you don't like mine.
For Prime 4 it needed to set more midi and controller ranges but i can't define them now as i don't own Prime 4.

Good job @VityaT! It seems to lack a bit of dynamics but it's better than the other configuration. Thanks for sharing, I will try it when I can.
@nachopenades You are right. The dynamics is not great. But it is strongly depends on the number of LEDs.
