Xone K2 connection issue in Traktor Pro 4

I use Xone K2 to control Traktor. Recently I bought the new Macbook Pro M4 pro and Traktor Pro 4. I found there is no midi signal in Traktor Pro 4 when I plug the K2 and use it. But in MAC OS, it showed K2 as a soundcard. When I plug in K2, the self-test light is normal. If I plug in my old laptop which runs Traktor Pro 3, everything is fine. I try to use the same USB cable, plug in Kontrol F1, it works well.

yeah, I found it's also no midi signal in Ableton Live 12.
So I found K2 has Midi problem in M series Chip. Need update.

Can you try any other program that works with midi and see if it works there? Just to see if it's traktor related.

Oh yeah, you need to update to latest firmware on a non-M chip computer.

Hey guys, so if I read correctly, if you have an Apple chip (M1, M2, M3 and M4, which are Silicon and not Intel), then you CANNOT use the Xone K2, for any program (Eg: Traktor Pro 4, Ableton, etc.).
That's a bit unfortunate, isn't it?0 -
I updated mine when the new driver came out. You can find the driver update at K2 product page.

Hey Stevan, did you use the firmware update here: https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/xone-series/xonek2/resources/?
Because it says it's for Apple Intel (mine is Apple M3, which is silicon). If not this one, can you share the link? Thanks man0 -
Link doesn't work for me. I remember having to use Intel mac or Windows PC in order to update to correct firmware. Not sure it thatr changed, it was 3 years ago I think.

I found an old Intel mac. I was able to use it and successfully do the V2.5.0 firmware update.
Then, I connecter the K2 to my Silicon M3 Mac and the still it is not found in the controller manager.
The funny thing is that it is visible in the Mac audio midi setup (midi the update was successful?).
I've now sent a ticket to Allen & Heath to see what they say, if anything…0 -
Update:
I got the answer from A&H support.
Once you've done the firmware update, here what you need to do to find your Xone K2 in Traktor Pro 4.
"In Traktor please set the device to 'Generic MIDI', if this is is not available as a device 'add' it . Once you have this loaded and select set both the in and out ports to Xone k2."
⇒ I've done that and then I was able to map 1 button as a test.1 -
Click Add (below Device) > New > Generic MIDI
Then select XONE: K2 in both in-port and out-port.
