Hello Joe D, are you using macOS?
Please make sure you are running Native Access 3.14.0 by either updating or downloading it from our website:
If you are receiving the "Download Failed" error message, please perform the following steps:
- On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click [your name] at the top of the sidebar.
- Click iCloud on the right, click Private Relay, then turn off Private Relay.
If you are using Windows or the issue persists afterwards, please create a support ticket or open a chat support using this link below:
So our team can help you further to solve that.
I hope this helps☺️

Might be a free space issue on your Harddrive.
Maybe change your Download Location in NA2 under "Preferences" ⇒ "File Management" ⇒ "Download Location".0 -
What is your OS version ?, What is your N.A. version ? , What is the exact error message (screenshot please)
As already suggested by LXNDR_BE then you need enough free space on both download location and dor temp files on system drive and enough space on Content location to install.
For windows you can try the solution using the NI reg tool or the Native Access Error Message: Download Failed: "Unknown error" . However then if you are on Windows then N.A. can sort of screw up itself internally when download fails and N.I. has not built in a reset functionality for that so in some cases you simply have to contact N.I. Native Access and Installation Support and ask them fix the mess In case that you need guidance contacting support : How to contact NI Support and How to get in touch with our Customer Care. I can also try calling for a N.I. Customer Care expert but you have to check if the solutions suggested works and give the information requested above.

NA
21 does not work on Win7 for few months. If that is your case, search this forum, there is some kind of hack to make it work again. But anyway NA21 will stop working at all, in a few months. If you are on Win10/11 maybe better to use NA3. On Mac I do not know….
EDIT:
There is no NA2, just NA1 and NA3.

There is no NA3.
I know that the actual "version" number is v3.14 - but the software itself is still officially branded as Native Access 2.
This weird disjointed version numbering/branding has annoyed me forever.

That is why I call it NA3 to avoid user confusion. I take it as the v2 has been skipped by official releases, but internaly there might have been v2, that has never been published because of some reason….
But I wrote wrongly NA2. I meant NA1.

Calling it NA 3 - actually contributes to more user confusion.
As people then assume they can download something called "Native Access 3" - which of course - does not exist. I have had several people ask me this - both here and in another forums.
Internally - there were lots of v2 releases - and then somewhere in the past - some developer decided to jump the actual version number to "v3.x" while NI still calls this software (officially) "Native Access 2".
It is massively problematic and very confusing.

NI calls it Native Access, at least on Win. And it is v3.
But you are right, that here and there are remains of NA2 naming.
The most correct would name it NA gen2. v3., but NA v3 or NA3. NA2 is IMHO way wrong naming for current NA, one would seek for nonexistent NA v.2.

Doesn't matter what NI calls it - all that matters is what Google calls it:
This is what users see and what users relate to.
If we start referencing it as Native Access 3 - that does not compute for Google and here comes more questions.

Well, this is one of three occurencies of Native Access 2 naming, I have found, so far. The other is web link and About App in NA. Probably overlooked remains of overstepped version…
NI should remove it and confusion would be gone. If NI corrects it, it will disapear from google as well. But it will probably stay in chatGPT and like for years…..

Agreed. This is one of the most bizarre cases of version mismatch that I have every seen.

Still doesn't answer my question. I have the latest version 3.14 directly from NI last week , which I already had I might add, and it still won't update. What can I do to fix this?

Well I see people have asked you at least 3 times for OS (and computer type) and still no update.
Can’t really answer your question if we don’t know what you are running.

This is one for support. I have seen a solution or two around the forums - but it usually involved file manipulation etc. Best to just submit a ticket if you can.
