Thanks for the answers. I have a Maschine Studio (from 2013 I think) and since the MK3 came out I've wanted to buy this, but I'd rather wait to upgrade until there's an MK4 of some sort. I had hoped it was now. 😊

I think that is good news. I suspect Mk4 will come before M+2 and I’d like there to be focus on integrating M+ fully with Maschine 3 software before new hardware is released. Now that I’ve gone + I’m not super interested in other Maschine hardware.
MK3 was a big step up from mk2 though, I’m excited to see the next gen.0 -
Hi @Matthew_NI
Apologies if you have answered this, but for absolute clarity - does this mean Maschine hardware
(MK4 and + ) is NOT going to be upgraded/developed at all?
Thanks

well, KK MK3 was not a big step up from MK2 so I don’t think that NI is really capable of hardware innovation anyway. Not that the Maschine MK3 is bad in any way…

Native Instruments introduced the Maschine harware to sell its expansion packs and virtual synths. The pad sampler waa because MPC was tge only hardware controller at tge time. Now it's too many hardware samplers and controllers,so NI has thrown in the towel on its hardware and Maschine software. NI is focusing on selling plug-in instruments. This Maschine 3.0,its not gonna be all that. Its prolly gonna be a few more expansion packs and Instruments ( cause that's what they do) and some stem seperation( because you guys all cried about MPC having it). Native Instruments has went from a musical production company, to a plug in company. Im off to Ableton Push 3, and a MPC X. NI is suffering from an identity crisis.

Quote Matthew_NI above : "I did say this. No plans at this time."
N.I. as good as never gives any information about new releases ahead of time , at least not before considering it ready to release.
I myself am interpreting Matthew_NI's answer as if even should N.I. be developing and/or testing new devices then nothing has progressed far enough for there to have been made any decisions that Matthew_NI considers final. Also there is a lot of design decisions to make when developing both with respect to hardware and software which could impact any final designs of both - if there is any in the making that is.

Thanks @PoorFellow
I understand that is their model and it's their choice. I'd respect them more if they said we are working on the next model but it is still 2 years off or something like that. I'd like to continue to invest in a company that was cleary moving forward like that. If they have decided to just focus on software - I'd like to know that as well.
Apple had a way of leaking information without giving anything away. Builds a bit of anticipation.0 -
I doubt they would tell even if they knew.. I mean, every company does this, nothing is revealed until its release time and press releases roll out
