Hello, i would know if is possible setting in the user personal sounds and instruments that i save in my libraries the preview of the sound like the sounds and instruments factory
Hi. Yes, but not auto-magically, it has to be done manually.
Previews are just .OGG audio files in a hidden .previews sub-folder where the content is, filenames must match just with added .OGG extension, works in the M+ aswell, looks like this:
.previews
Works for projects, groups, sounds, etc…
I‘m not sure as I never tried this myself, but probably a sound file in OGG format placed next to the preset with the same name as the preset could work.
@D-One probably could share some insights, as he’s done some substantial integration of his own custom sounds with tagging and images. Maybe also previews. I think he even did some sort of tutorial on this but it might have been on Ye Olde Forum.
where i find this folder .previews?
and if you can give me please the link where you did the tutorial for organize and personalize the libraries like told Ozon
anyway i tried with .wav audio file and make the previews in loop an one-shots without problem
but should be better have in any libraries for workflow
only in groups, sounds and instruments seem impossible
i will try this method…
@Manuelix where i find this folder .previews?
@Manuelix
Nowhere, you have to create it.
Loops and One-shots don't need previews, the Maschine Browser just plays them directly.
ah ok and.. and which file i convert in .OGG the file in .WAV of the sound or the file of native instrument
Whatever you want the preview to be.
Example: Place a single note on pattern, drag-and-drop as wav, convert to .ogg, place and name it like described above.
yes i did the file in .OGG of a groups pattern… now i dont't understand where i have to create the folder to put this file and then how have to rename the files
Example: Say you have a Group called MY_KIT, save it to folder called MY_Groups, create a new folder inside MY_Groups called .previews, put the .OGG there and name it MY_KIT.mxgrg.ogg
MY_KIT
MY_Groups
previews
Make sure the folder is added to your User Library and thats it, this is fairly simple so I dont know how else to explain it. You will need to enable "View Hidden Files" in Windows/MacOS Explorer/Finder
