Switch between group/sound mixer

in Maschine

When you click on the MIXER button on Maschine MK3, it opens the mixer according to whether you have GROUP or SOUND selected in the PLUG-IN Instance menu. When I want to switch the mixer view to SOUND instead of GROUP, I have to click on PLUG-IN Instance then SOUND then MIXER again.

Is there a way I can switch directly from the MIXER view?

    push the 4d encoder up and down to go between group and sound

    Well damn, that's not intuitive but now that I know it, I won't forget!

    NI - any chance you could update the user manual to mention this. All it talks about is how to do this in software (2x click the channel header). No mention at all of how to do it in hardware!

    It's mentioned on page 447 of the Maschine MK3 manual.

    the leds in the maschine always has a meaning, so if you see the lights around the 4d encoder to light up, means that it does something if you press it towards the led.

    the same applies to all leds, once you understand that it is intuitive to find all the hidden things you can do, the only non intuitive things are the ones that you need to press Shift, so if you are looking for something try pressing shift to see if some new button appears in the top of the screens.

    Well it seems there is more than one manual! For the one you appear to be using, try page 635. It's definitely covered in the manual.

    Full disclosure: A Google search for Maschine mk3 manual shows a 930 page manual and a 640 page manual. 🤔

    As a Tip, anytime the tiny LED lights around the big 4D Encoder are lit it means it can do something, if your not scrolling a list or doing something else wheres it's obvious what the directional pushes do then just try it… you might just learn something new. :)
