if the screens will have visualization for fx (eq, comp, etc), visual automation lines, visual feedback on synths, that’s a killer.

Man, now all I want is to be able to use my Motu interface. I’m abandoning all other desires for additions and fixes. Crossing my fingers we get a new kernel before it’s abandoned. Also hoping it isn’t abandoned.

If 3.0 is around the corner I bet it will be awesome, 2.0 was a big leap.

You ignored the statements I made to support the perspective that Maschine+ had weak (not defective) hardware specifications. You also chose to ignore the question which modern groovebox (or insert own descriptor) still uses an Atom processor as a standalone device. Since you brought in MPC, you would know that Akai had to increase the RAM for the Keys or it would not load some plug-ins or become miserable to operate. RAM is a limitation of the hardware.

The Maschine+ was out sometime 2020 and touted as standalone. The points to be made were already stated but you chose to ignore them and not comprehend that I am discussing hardware; you choose to bark up the wrong tree which is named software, i.e. the bugs and fixes.

You also ignored that I am not seeking consensus but expressing a view point about the hardware, and who do you actually represent when you stated bugs fixes and optimisation are what people were talking and asking for? How empirical were your data points. Why would anyone object to bugs fixes and optimisation even?

We all have different use cases and expectations when acquiring a standalone device. Again, does this have to align with your thoughts and do you represent the synth & music making community in some capacity that you have yet to reveal? Have you gone through all my forum posts to definitively say that I did not also asked about the same before?

You said "the hardware will not scale well in 2024", and I disagree, citing that Akai is not (as you say Maschine+ is) "crippled" and users have not had to "lower their expectations" despite their devices running on comparatively lower specced machines.

FYI M+ has 4 gigs of ram and the new Akai Keys 37 has 2gigs and 61 model has 4 gigs, and both can run the same Akai plugins. So you're wrong there.

So again, Akai is chugging along adding feature after feature hardware inferior to the M+ which you insist is crippled into 2024 and beyond.

Instead of doubling down and throwing more insults around, how about just admitting you're wrong?

That's what the forum is for. To share your viewpoints and not engage in a popular vote contest to determine what's acceptable as viewpoints. I see you have supporters already.

I'm calling out, above your loud noises, that in fact you do not represent anyone - just you stating a viewpoint. If you believe your view was legit so will be the views of others.

You hang on this notion that I sought agreement in order to disagree with me but I dont seek concurrence, especially from Internet beings who are pompous or self righteous. Again you choose to ignore the fact that CPU and RAM are limitations of standalone hardware. How does it scale well in 2024 when it can't even do what was available in 2020 as standalone. Even with the best programmers on the planet, how much more do you think the Maschine+ can deliver - another 30%, 100%?

Make up your mind if you wanted to digress from your earlier claim that others ask for bugs fixes and optimisation or you wanted to prove that NI is unwilling/unable to do more given the current hardware. Time will tell but you can read further up in this same thread, The feelings of despair and abandonment are evident. However, If you intend to continue to engage in such condescending behaviour, leave me out as I have no wish to entertain or you will be reported.

Your argument presented is a fallacy of ad hominem.

Staying on topic, I proved M+ is not crippled by RAM as you stated in your previous opinion. We're not discussing what shortcomings which may or may not be in the future because you specifically said it is "crippled in 2024", which is the current year.

You're incorrect in your assumption that people like my self should "curb our expectations" for healthy updates of the device and I plainly asserted why.

Is that it? I stand by what I have said. Staying equally on topic, RAM is a limitation for any standalone hardware or there wouldn't be a need to buy more than one piece of it. You are just repeating yourself. Just for you, how about we venture to amend this sore point of yours (it hurts you for some reason) - that it becomes "crippled since launch", will that help your cause on what you are trying to do here?

I’m entertained. This is what the forum is for. People correcting other people who are wrong in the internet. One big family <3

I think we need some kind of format to celebrate this energy. A rock-off? A beat battle to the death? Drum sequencing duel?

And it’s what this entire topic is about: future updates for the current M+ software and kernel.

So yeah, really looking forward to the quarterly update by @Simon_NI and getting more information on this.

    @Matthew_NI any signs…?

Or @Matt_NI maybe? As you posted the last update from your Chief Product Owner.
