Isn't the Kontakt 7 Player a VST plugin in Komplete?

in Komplete General

I just installed parts of the Komplete 14 package, and there is no Kontakt VST plugin installed in either of the VSTPlugins (32/64) directories.

Kontakt is only available as a standalone application.

FM8 and Bite for example installs a VST.

Isn't a VST of Kontakt included, or am I missing something?

    SUPPORTED INTERFACES
    macOS (64-bit only): Stand-alone, VST3, AU, AAX
    Windows (64-bit only): Stand-alone, VST3, AAX

    The thing is: The VST won't get installed in the default location ("C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\VSTPlugins 64 bit") or whichever location you have set in Native Access.

    You will find it under "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3" instead.

    Thank you all! Didn't know vst 3 plugins where installed on a different path.

    This VST3 plugin location

    "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3"

    is an industry standard location that all vendors are required to use if they are following the VST3 spec correctly.

    NI (Native Access) uses this one automatically without any intervention.
