Maschine is designed around the controllers, it's meant for music production, editing long audio on it will be a pain especially if you also need to cut out mistakes, long pauses and such.

Just get any free DAW for that job or a cheaper entry level version.

In my honest opinion, you shouldn't use maschine 2 to do this, as it is not quite a DAW, it has a different workflow that may make your job harder. BUT YOU CAN DO IT!

you should be able to use it without hardware, what you have to do is un-pair video and audio first, the audio must be in .wav format, than load the audio in one of the pads/tracks, must be a sampler not audio, as audio may change the speed of the recording.

after that just trigger the note and make the pattern as long as you need. in the pad/track underneath where it says sampler, there is a plus sign (+) there is where you can load your plug ins, you should find all the ones you own.

Maschine is probably the only SW “designed for music production“ that is useless for editing long audio.

It’s really designed only for producing loop based music with samples, virtual instruments and basic midi. Not for producing music sung or played on real instruments.
