I have been a Native Instruments fan ever since buying Kontakt 11 and the komplete kontrol 88 keyboard. Here is a song I wrote and recorded using several NI programs. Abby Road-Modern Drummer, Guitar Rig 5, Analog Dreams, Kontakt Factory Library, to name a few!

Congratulations on having a track ready and thanks for asking for an opinion. Sounds good and I liked the overall atmosphere!

There are a couple of things I expected or threw me off while listening:

• the first part of the intro feels disconnected, as if it doesn’t belong there, mainly because it is dropped and none of its aspects are developed further into the track.
• the clap like sound on the 3 of every other bar and the claves stick out of the mix and could be more subtle and futher back in space.
• after the intro there are a couple of sound effects and percussion building up without giving me a feeling of serving a musical pupose or „telling a story“.

And some suggestions to get more of an evolution going:

• you could fully drop the bass in the break at 2:03 or keep it on the first note and fade out. With the current arrangement, that bass repeating over the whole track has some fatigue factor.
• you could try to have more change or sonic evolution happening in the repeating bass line, for example by starting with the filter more closed and very slowly opening up over e.g. 64 bars. Adding different effects like chorus or saturation could work as well - or doing the same line with different bass sounds.
• you could try to develop the synth riff after the break further, maybe by adding additional notes and octave jumps.

Well, just some thoughts to hopefully spark some more ideas.

Bella Kelly - Heartbreak Motel - Remix by OZON

Everything in this remix is created from scratch, except for the vocals and one atmosphere sound used in the intro and the verses. I also did a video edit to match the remix:

The nerdy stuff:

• All main percussion sounds are done with custom Maschine Drum Synth sounds, including some of the screaming impacts. Additionally, two samples from the Maschine Library and one classic drum machine sample from a free sound pack by Brad Brunazzi was used.
• Main bass in the verses is a double tracked Behringer Model D.
• Main bass in the choruses is a double or triple tracked Moog Subsequent 37, with additional distorted tracks from a Roland SE-02.
• All other sounds are made on a Virus TI, mostly custom creations except for the music box style sound, which is from a free sound pack by The Unfinished.
• DAW: Cubase 11
