Cubase missing KK instruments

So I am currently using the v3 of KK. I have gotten use to the layout and how it functions.

I have already reported an issue with instruments (Spitfire) missing from the lineup, but now I have just found another issue.

Using Cubase 12 pro on Windows 10 pro. I have just loaded an older project that I use KK in and none of the instruments or loops have loaded up. All other data is there but the KK window is blank and I am having to search for the instruments/sample/loops to load them manually.

Note: This should have the Modular Icons BaraBara instrument.

This is not typical with every old project. It seems to be effected to some of my works from 2 years ago (2021)

Could it be related to the fact that my library was on a different hard drive 2 years ago?

    Hey everyone,

    Uploaded and using v3.1.2 now

A lot of the Spitfire Instruments have be resolved and I am now able to find them. Apart from one

Kepler Orchestra does not display in the windows or the dropdown tab in VTS

Double-check your Vstplugins folders, especially for the older flavor. Cubase allows scads of folders, and if you're not good at managing it, things can get out of hand.

    "scads" = ?

    Could you elaborate BIF?

    Now running KK3.3.2

    Missing one instrument. Kepler Orchestra

Native Access says that I have it

If I import the instrument from another track, I can play with it

But it is not in my library.

I can not search for it. Or any of the instruments.

Is there a fix for this?

This sounds like you might need to rebuild the database. How did you buy Kepler Orchestra? I don't have that one to compare for you.

If it shows up in Native Access, then I would open the info and find the installation path for it. Then see if you can actually navigate to that path with Windows Explorer.

Is Kepler Orchestra a Kontakt instrument, or is it it's own thing like FM-8?

I downloaded it on the Spitfire downloader.

It is shown in NA (see image)

It functions and is recognised in KK v2.9.6.

But has never worked in any of the v3's

Hi again and I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I went to the Spitfire site and looked at Keppler Orchestra. It looks interesting enough that I might look into it further for myself! But to your problem first:

It uses Kontakt or Kontakt Player. If something is visible to Komplete 2.9.6 but not visible to Komplete 3.x, then the only thing I could suggest is that you might need to rebuild/re-scan the database on K3.

Also…are you trying to use Komplete Kontrol 3 and 2.9.6 concurrently? Or are you uninstalling one before installing the other? Because I don't think they were made to coexist with each other.

Thanks for getting back to me BIF

I use 2.9.6 constantly. I check for update for the other instruments and I am always tempted to update KK to v3. Everytime I have, I have issues and revert back to v2.9.6

I think i am going to stop trying and just stick with that version. If it ain't broke…!

Kepler Orchestra is nice as a background instrument, but it is old, clucky and dated. I beleive they have a new instrument that does the same but better. Saving my pennies for now
