How can I choose if I want to load a STEM or a Track version of a song with Traktor Kontrol S8? I does not work to double-press the rotary-encoder.

ah, yes, I had to clean my TSI mess up and have only those 8 relevant mappings in the TSI, so here we go…

I have the same with my Pioneer DDJ-SZ. In the preferences i can change the behaviour of the push button but the software won't wait for me to double-press the button. I thought it might be the mapping for the Pioneer but you have the same issue with a NI controller.
S8 code only does 'single-click', unless and until the code gets an update; like the MK3 series has already gotten. I hope it will get one in one of the next few patches.

Depends.
Shift+(Button) has a different function in many situations.
Primary reason (my humble opinion): Anything that lets you perform an 'action' with only a single hand involved is good for DJ workflow.
I don't know the S8 so I can't say if that will override any other function, but you could map that.
I load STEMS as default and when I need to load as TRACK I have a small mapping (L/R Shift + Press L/R Browser Encoder) for the S8 like so:

yes, correct. The S8 is not in Midi mode here…
Yes. It's called overmapping.
Do you mind sharing your mapping? I assume it's a bit longer to get the modifier settings for deck switches right and it may be a bit hard to implement for a beginner.

Thanks, but what i meant was to export that single s8-overmapping tsi and upload it. And if i look at it closely, i would suggest you upload a copy bared of all the assignments not needed for the secondary load function.
Mind you, this would be for the benefit of someone who may not know much about mapping. 👍👍👍
Here an example for the Left-Deck S8 button pressed … (similar for Right-Deck)
when M3=0 (Deck-A is selected at the moment) set it to M3=1 and
when M3=1 (Deck-C is selected at the moment) set it to M3=0
and here 4 mappings for Left/Right-Browser-Encoder-Push for each Deck one:

I recently bought a V10 mixer , also have an old S8! I left Traktor for Rekordbox a good few years ago but was thinking of going back since the release of Pro 4. Could anyone tell me is it possible to route deck A and B on the S8 through channel 3 and 4 on the V10!
If so what would be the best way of doing so? Appreciate any help on this 😎
