Plugin License Error - Make it Go Away !

edited October 2024 in Maschine

This comes up every time I start Maschine. How do I skip it permanently? This does not appear on any other NI software (Kontakt, Komplete, etc). I do not use H-Delay on this device, but I also do not use several other Waves plugins that do not produce this error in Maschine or elsewhere! I have already tried all 3 options presented. I realize that I could just find and remove all trace of this plugin, but I should also be able to ignore problem plugins in Maschine.

You either need to license it or delete the plugin, this is a Waves dialogue, nothing to do with Maschine

It only comes up if I start Maschine, no other software from NI, DAW, or anyone else prompts this message. It is related to Maschine in that the Maschine software would not finish loading until this message was cleared. I did go back and delete the H-Delay plugin, but I have several others from Waves (eg: H-Comp) in the same status that do not prompt the error.

I have fully licensed the Wave plugins on my main studio machine. Although the mobile studio is a duplicate of the main machine, I do not maintain 2nd licenses in most cases, since I don't need to use those plugins. It has really not been an issue until I got Maschine and this started popping up.

One solution is to transfer your Waves authorization to a USB flash/thumb drive, and plug in this USB stick to whichever computer you will be using.

Yes, a long overdue project to move everything to an SSD but no good time to disrupt everything and work through the issues !!!!!

There’s no need to transfer anything else other than the license authorization to a USB stick since you mentioned you have the same Waves plug-in installed on both machines—simply plug-in the USB stick with the license authorization to the computer which you will be using for the moment… unless you are running Waves plug-ins concurrently on both machines. See this Waves support article for more information: https://www.waves.com/support/move-licenses

Thanks victorp.sg, I will try to find out where the license auth lives and transfer it as suggested. I do not use the plugins concurrently on both machines, so it should not be an issue.
