Hello,

I am desperate to know what I can do at this point, Traktor cannot read the .nml backup files that I have. It's impossible to understand, I tried from all the locations possible (time machine, hard drive backups etc...) and the .nml files are greyed and cannot be read / imported.

I need urgent help and Support is not responding

Thanks

I don't know how this is possible but you can try to do it manually.

Do not import through Traktor. Go to your disc in Traktor user directory (documents/native instruments etc) backup the existed collection.nml file, then go to your backup disc, copy your backup collection.nml file and paste it to the Traktor user directory. Then start Traktor, it should read it. If not, then your backup file is damaged and i doubt that you can do anything about it.

If you succeed, then you should copy all the folder as well (Stripes, Transients etc.)

    Any other on-screen messages?
or any possible changes you might did?

for start, go to your Traktor user folder and rename the collection-invalid.nml to collection.nml

if this doesn't work, go to:

    C:\Users\your_user_name*\My Documents\Native Instruments\Traktor (version number)\Backup\Collection

you will find lots of backups there… choose an older one, not the latest!
one from a time that you know that Traktor worked
do not open it from there!
rename it to collection.nml move it in the major Traktor folder and replace the one that it is there.

    Hi !

    i'm desperate since yesterday night

when opening traktor it couldn't charge the playlist and when I checked the files in the directory, the .nml file is named collection-invalid

I tried and load an older valid back up .nml, but Traktor won't read it it says it's invalid too.

I just reinstalled Traktor and tried to charge these 2 playlists one after the other. Same indication.

    I've got a gig in 2 days…..help !!!!!
