s88 mk2 keyboard not working with anything external
Hi All,
my s88 keyboard is working for playing music but it is not interacting with my daw (cubase pro 13) or any other software program (kontakt). the keyboard is connected straigt into the computer (active). If I open Komplete kontrol and then kontroller everything is greyed out. What is going wrong?

The worst purchase for my studio was and is the Kontrol S88 MKII. The key stopped working after two sessions, some keys lost their dynamics. This is a disgraceful NI product.

A bit more information might get a response to help find a solution.
Have you installed the correct driver? Have you selected the correct midi settings in the midi options for both kk and your DAW?

yes but now it isn't even finding the keyboard as if it's not connected

just reattached all cables is the mk2 500 pc the latest driver?

I would suggest to try plugging it into a different port. That worked for me.
I had a similar issue with my M32 whereby the keys worked to play notes, but none of the "smart" controls worked, and it wasn't listed in the software. Plugged it into a different port and hey presto it came to life.

Yes, 5.00 is the latest driver for the MK2. The above suggestion to try another USB port is a good one you could also try another USB cable.
If after trying these suggestions and your keyboard still isn't being seen in your midi options it could point to your keyboard having developed a hardware fault.

Reinstalled the driver and the keyboard is responding again
