8Dio Modern Scoring bundle compatibility
Hello. I'm hoping to buy the 8Dio Modern Scoring bundle but unsure if it will be compatible with the M2 Mac mini which I bought this month. The compatibility on NI's website states "An internet connection, a graphics card that supports OpenGL 2.1 (or higher), and macOS 10.15-12 or Windows 10 (or higher) are required to download and activate this product. " I bought my first Mac this month, coming from windows PCs, so I'm not sure if "10.15-12" means operating systems "between 10.15 to 12" or if "10.15-12" is one operating system name. I'm hoping the latter, otherwise I think my Mac OS 14.4 will be incompatible with the scoring bundle. Is my Mac OS 14.4 compatible with the scoring bundle please?

Sorry, think I might have put my question in the wrong place but unsure how to delete and move it. I'm new here today.

I think that the bundle will run fine on your Mac OS 14.4 as long as you have the required Kontakt Player version and your hardware supports the KONTAKT PLAYER system requirements. .
But if you want a %1000 guarantee then you would have to ask N.I. Purchase Support .

Thank you for your swift reply. I have Komplete 13 Ultimate running successfully on my new Mac, with the full Kontakt 6 and have Kontakt player 7 working well, so I think I'll probably be okay then but might try NI purchase support, if I can get a reply before the bundle's deadline.

Again , me not being a N.I. employee then I am not in a position to make any guarantees , but usually if you buy directly from the N.I. store and you are in good faith then as I understand it then if the software is not compatible with your computer then usually it is not any problem getting a refund !

I bought it and run it on my 16" MacBook Pro with the M1 Max chip in it. So I would expect the M2 chip should be fine. I have not tried every piece of software yet exhaustively and I do not work for NI, just giving you my experience.
To see what OS your Mac has click the Apple Menu and then 'About This Mac' and under MacOS in that window is the version, usually the code name and a version (Sonoma 14.5 is mine for example). More than likely if it's a newer computer it probably has 14.x of some kind on it. when they first came out with they had 13.2 on it
To confuse matters, Mac OS X started naming itself without numbers a while back. 10.15 was called "Catalina" and is the last Intel version of the Mac OS. They stopped using 10.x versions with that, and now went to 11, 12, 13 and 14 which is the latest. They also have a name with them like 11 was Big Sur and 12 was Monterey etc.
Confusing as heck if you don't live and breath it.0 -
