S88 MK3 Half Works

Hi

just got my Kontrol s88 MK3, installed Native Access and followed all the directions. Most buttons on the keyboard are greyed out. There’s no connection to Native Access though I can play/record non-NI instruments and I have some working transport control in Cubase.

I this because of compatibility issues with Sonoma or an issue with my new keyboard?

There's not supposed to be any connection between Native Access and the keyboard.

Buttons will be unavailable if they have no purpose. For example, the DAW related buttons will only be available when using a DAW. Play Assist button will only light up when Komplete Kontrol is running.

Are you having issues using Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt with your keyboard?

I didn't even know I needed to buy Komplete Kontrol or Kontakt. I'm not that familiar with the NI world. I mostly bought the keyboard because of the action. Looks like I need to dive into the software!

Woohoo! Glad you got it figured out. LOL nothing wrong with being a noob, we were all there once. To be perfectly honest, 6 months ago I didn't understand the difference between Komplete Kontrol and Kontakt.

You don't need to buy them - they come with your purchase of the keyboard.
