I use windows 11 since the beta and only had a problem once or twice with native products. One exactly that with the exclusion list, cause that security feature was implemented later so I had to add also those files as you did now. The other problem was with native access 2 as it was new, but since then everything runs perfect. Maybe ppl with problems just upgraded from 10 and did no fresh install - that can be different and cause problems.

P S. Ohh sorry I realized too late that you wrote about architecture programs at the end - but win 10 is also fine and one year supported from now, pro I think till the end of 2025 with updates but you can use it even longer

The only idea I have now is that you maybe create another windows user and try to install maschine under that user, there was one case where it was the solution. Windows can sometimes screw up with rights management, even if it's very rare today in my experience.

This is maybe also worth to check

Did you ever get this solved? Experiencing the same behavior. NI Maschine and Windows 10.

    Hey there.

    Never sorted it out properly.

I filled out a support request and Franky (the legend) from NI emailed me the links to all installers and an older version of Native Access.

Still feels a bit wonky in Native Access when I try to update, so I just don't now.

    All programs are working fine.

Keen to hear how you get on, though.

    Good luck!

    Sorry Uwe.

I never thanked you for your responses. Just logged in then and my response was patiently waiting for me to press 'post'.

    Cheers mate.

Hi, and thanks for responding. I've received close to zero help from NI support. After writing a detailed explanation of what I've done to resolve the situation, including uninstalling/reinstalling several times, I was told to "reinstall the program" and my ticket was closed.

I have over 200 pieces of music that I can't even work on because they use Maschine, and I can't get it to load. Cost me at least one client so far.

I've been a NI customer since Generator was released. Finding myself just not trusting NI anymore, and I'm about to wipe all of it off my computer.

Have you tried another windows admin user to install your stuff, you can then use it with every user. Windows can really screw up even if it's much much better in my experience since windows 10.

I solved it. I uninstalled Native Access, and downloaded the first version of the program found here on the NI site. I deleted every aspect of the newest installer. Version 1 installed Maschine with no problem. It's not the newest version, but Maschine now opens and I'm able to port my work to another program.

I bought Kit Maker, and converted all my Maschine libraries to numbered files. I'm loading those files into Atlas 2 and copying the MIDI over, so at least my work isn't lost. All added up, I spent over 30 hours off and on trying to get this to work.

Everything that I updated that day along with Maschine installed fine. After the Maschine failure I installed the free Glaze, and it worked fine. The failure is specifically with the Maschine installer. I think the copy protection, which I read had changed recently, is the culprit. It also caused the Maschine program to fail to work properly in Studio One.

The worst part was the abysmal tech support which left me feeling totally let down. I've spent thousands of dollars with this company. That won't happen in the future. I'm not updating anything anymore.

Yikes, that sounds like a hectic time.

Yeah - I'm done with updating until I move to Win11.

The upgrades aren't worth the possibility of losing access to all my work.

My experience with support was way better than yours by the sound of it.

    Franky was great.
