Connect headphones via Bluetooth.

Has anyone managed to successfully connect wired headphones to a controller via Bluetooth?

I've managed to make the connection, but there was a noticeable delay issue.

    Delay is normal with Bluetooth.

As a DJ it is not preferred to use wireless headphones because of latency issues. Once I was also looking for this option because I saw some artists using wireless headsets. Now I know better, their sets were mostly pre-recorded, technical issue for production to cooperate with all kind of visuals, but that is another story.

I believe there are hardware systems for stage performance that use a transmitter and receiver that have almost zero latency. I did a search trying to find something but so many results and differences in price.

I never took the chance on anything.

Here is the best solution I have seen.

    And these type of systems...

I have an Avantree set that I use for mentoring and there doesn't seem to be any latency. The tranceiver is plugged into the controller usual headphone jack out and so is nothing to do with any computing aspect of the set up. So latency is irrelevant really.

Looking to make my usual cans and those who I'm working with can use theirs also. BT would give us more mobility and also useful for b2b swapovers :)

Cheers for the info. Please see my other reply, especially about latency.

At the moment I'm experimenting with a bt dongle and my Avantree transceiver.

Very cool. I haven't tried it out yet. But my neighbor I Dj with will be very interested. Since he recently went to IEMs. And was interested. I know it must work at some level and price quite well. For bands and big concerts. The Aiaiai Studio headphones have had a lot of positive YouTube reviews by producers and live playing of instruments while recording.

    Please post your findings?🙂

I used to use Shure PSM300 IEMs, they were almost zero latency (0.7ms) so might be worth a look. Bluetooth has always been bad for latency.

What is the cost on those. A quick look was $850usd?

This is what I meant above about all the prices and types of wireless systems. If the only ones truly working are that expensive I will glady deal with the wire. Lol

If I was a mainstream DJ then I would possibly justify the cost.

Yeah the downside was they weren't the cheapest option!
