Komplete Audio 1 not outputting computer sounds.
Here it goes. I'm on Mac Ventura 13.4.1, just received my komplete audio 1 and pair of Adam audio speakers to match, buzzing to use them to make my music, I plug them in. Decide the best thing to do Is a little YouTube test, when to my horror, the sound only outputs through headphones. Is there anyway to get the sound to output through the speakers? Or have I had a komplete nightmare, and should have spent more money to get something that works a little better? After all, what's the point in having an audio interface, if you can't hear any audio through it?
All solutions welcome, because I'm going up the wall trying to figure this one out.
Cheers

Problem solved..
I had two mono jacks plugged into left and right channel outputs on the audio interface, to single TRS jack into the monitor.
I have now got a mono jack to mono jack lead from left channel to monitor and everything works fine.

Make sure that it is configured as the default audio device in your system, by checking the Sound app :-)

I have done, I did some research and it turns out my issue is that the komplete audio one doesn't support direct monitoring, or something like that, or you can't just play sound from the computer straight through the speakers unless you have your daw open, and you have to mess around with all sorts, a complete and utter ball ache, really poor design but I guess you get what you are given on budget products, anyways it's being returned and I've got a 2i2 coming which fingers crossed should solve my problems. Cheers anyways.

True, but don't forget that those devices are mostly meant for audio purposes, music production etc. not to play computer sounds. Still, it should play.
Have you tried the simplest thing?
It is not ideal, since the USB connection should be able to play computer sound, but, until you get some better options... Line Out of your computer, connected to Line In of the card, then, Line Out of the card connected to your speakers

@Kezzaburke The direct monitoring is different, it's for when you have instruments plugged in the interface and want to hear that sound through the speakers. Using the Direct Monitoring Feature on My Komplete Audio Interface
When playing Youtube you should get sound on the speakers. I'm a little too late for the troubleshooting I'm afraid!

As has already been stated, generally these products are for pro use with a DAW etc. and the last thing you want when recording your masterpiece is audio from an advert on some random website or YouTube.
Standard advice is to route computer audio through your onboard interface, keeping it separate to the pro stuff.

@John Deere Traktor It should work with YouTube, you need to make sure your system audio is playing through the KA2. Click the speaker icon on your taskbar then the icon to the right of the volume slider. That should let you select the KA2 as your default output. Make sure the knob on the front is set to Host rather than all the way to Input.

Messed with settings before and got here, as in now I get audio but its so low.
input/host knob makes no difference, neither do the channel volumes, or line/instrument switches. Only the master volume kind of works. Traktor works a lot better, whats the difference between Traktor and Youtube?

@John Deere Traktor Traktor is using ASIO drivers, YouTube and other Windows audio will be using WDM or similar drivers.
Obvious question and I'm sure you've checked, but you're sure the Windows volume is cranked up? Traktor will ignore that but things like YouTube won't. Can you play from Media Player or iTunes?

I played a track through VLC media player and volume is ridiculously low.

The troubleshoot button on the second screenshot isn't something I remember seeing on a working system. What happens if you click it? Are you on Windows 10?
