"Download Failed"

Just purchased a Komplete pack,

I have managed to download all of the files except "Symphony series percussion" and "Stradivari Cello".

Each time I try to install, The download bar reaches about half way and then stops with the "Download Failed", But the files are fully downloaded but I think there's an issue with the install procedure.

I have tried installing in all of my other drives including C: but each time, the same download fault is coming up.

Could do with some help, Thanks!

    First, make a custom desktip folder specificaly for NI plugins, then go to the File Management and change VST3 location to that desktop folder.

    And make sure to delete duplicate files.

    Had the exact same issue and it worked.

    I've already tried installing them to test folders on each drive mate, I tried on the desktop just in case it worked but still brings up the fault too unfortunately!

    Oh...

    It worked for me but maybe your issue needs a different soultion.

    Having this same issue. NI support just sent me the uninstaller regedit tool (obviously of no help because I haven't installed anything to be able to uninstall it). I have replied to them but not heard anything back. Did you solve the issue?

    If you are on WiFi then try a wired connection !

    Otherwise you need to be a whole lot more specific and describe problem in details other than "having the same issue". (Maybe open/make your own thread !)

    Ok, I didn't want to start a new thread, I wanted to know if @patchh had solved their version of the issue.

    If you're interested here are my symptoms: Trying to download Symphony Series Percussion, fails during download. In fact it always fails at 7.32GB. Tried everything you might imagine: different download location, re-install of NI Access, etc etc. Spent many days trying to work this one out now. I have had no issue downloading anything else from NI recently, it's only this library.

    Thank you for your suggestion about Wi-Fi but that's definitely not the issue here (I spend much of my day job diagnosing network issues).

    My current suspicion is that it's something todo with my ISP and NI because I just thought I should try downloading it over a VPN (because I couldn't think of anything else to try). But lo and behold it works and is currently installing. So assuming that the installation process is successful, I've managed to get it done. However it's a very unsatisfactory outcome, I'd love to know why it had the issue in the first place! Very very strange bug.

    From your post I could not possibly get any information about what your day job is or your level of knowhow and experience with respect to network issues. But I do know from my experience here that users using WiFi sometimes has been the root to the problem because some (Windows Wifi ?) connections apparently will not allow the download of too large files (I don't even know why , you might, but me not using WiFi myself it has not had my interest to try to find out why).

    Eh , again , it sounds as if you are the expert in network and connectivity issues , not I ! But what I can tell you is that from my experience here (in this forum where I am just another user , though having some level of experience) then I also know that another root cause to such an issue that you have been experiencing sometimes has shown to be what appeared as temporary (N.I.?) server issues with some downloads , especially when there are sales going on !

    I myself did however upgrade from Komplete 14 Standard to Komplete 14 Collectors Edition just the other day so by coincidence I downloaded literally hundreds of GB yesterday without having one single issue ! But if you are a network expert then you do not need me to tell you that not all connections are equal. And while I have no idea how N.I. distribute their downloads or the download loads then I do know enough about networks to understand that you and I might not have been downloading from the same server even if we by sheer coincidence should have been downloading from N.I. in exactly the same time slot. And on top of that then I could easily imagine myself that some server congestion not directly connected to N.I. could create problems for some users that would be thinking that it were N.I. servers that had the problems. But maybe that's just my imagination , duuno , again , you probably knows a lot more about these things than I if you are a network expert !

    Thanks for your help @PoorFellow this is exactly why in my initial post I just wanted to know if @patchh had solved his problem and how. There are too many factors going on here to diagnose my specific issue over a forum post.

    To anyone in the future reading this - have a try on a VPN. Whilst it doesn't sound like a sensible solution it might just work! It has done for me.

    I've had the exact same problem with the exact same instruments - I suspect at the exact same point of the download too. Very frustrating!

    I'm an ex network engineer so am pretty confident this isn't a local issue, although have tried wireless and wired connections, even a VPN - exactly the same result every time! I've also tried downloads at different times of the day.

    Based on all that, I can't help thinking that this is some issue at the NI end, but I'm guessing at this time of year we're unlikely to get much in the way of help at the moment.
