It's a pity you felt the need to delete Ray's post.

i agree…. Fortunately i got a copy in my Mails… we should post it Again because he spoke out of my mind 🙂☺️

The code of conduct applies to everyone and the post was breaching literally every single aspect of it. Such post has no place in this community no matter what. Just to be clear, I'm not talking about the content, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but the way it was addressed.

You do realise he is the best Ambassador you ever had !
Listen to him, he knows what he's taking about.

it certainly hasn't been deleted from the internet, it's being shared now in many groups, i wouldn't be surprised if it goes viral!

Maybe then NI realizes what their Users really need 😉

Please let's not go off topic here. I'm sure there's plenty of platform out there where it is acceptable to write the f-word in every single sentences but our community isn't one.
You are actually more than welcome to discuss the points shared in a respectful manner and we can have a honest conversation about it.

it's pretty tough right now. the few little chunks we get from NI are of course gladly accepted. but Ray was right in the heart of the matter.. unfortunately. next to my Maschine and the Remix Decks -> do I really need a groove box? I don't know... we will see.
for me, it seems like Traktor constantly castrating it's self. i would just be happy if more hardware could be integrated and a few bug fixes added. all the new features that have recently been introduced are not finished in my opinion. Smart Playlists and the Browser Improvements come to my mind first. Parallel Waveforms before. for me both only half-finished things.
the new FX are probably already coming thanks to the collaboration with iZotope but hey, that's really not what i would expect. i can hardly believe that this is the result of the last Survey and if it is, NI (Traktor) would be well advised to listen to the pros again. or admit openly and honestly that the real top features cannot be realized with the old basic code, because otherwise the whole house of cards would collapse. to be honest, but a new filter doesn't interest me... wayne? just remove the F* words from Rays text and use that as a survey for the next two years. I'm pretty sure his post made it all the way to the top.
@Pedram_NI are you sure that you want to open this barrel and now start to respond to individual comments here? sure, if you're serious, that's probably still so welcome with everyone. but your previous performance in the old and new forum was very predictable so far. you already touched on such announcements and subsequent discussions twice in the Forum, but you didn't show up afterwards, let alone follow up on what you said with action. in December last year you announced the new Beta with the release of the new Community. it's been nearly to 3 months now. something like that just makes me angry and sorry, but for someone in your position it's just embarrassing. serious question an no affront: do you really have the time for something like that?
e.g. feed @Matt_NI / @Kaiwan_NI / @Karlos Santos and company with regular information and then leave the rest to this guys. it would fit better for everyone.
i still hope that the new Hardware that is announced will knock my socks off, but when I look back at the Z2 MKII beta program ("Survey" or whatever that was), i almost shed tears every time. that was before the mass layoffs at NI. the only thing that still comes from this time is the Maschine+ which then finally saw the light of day.
now i'm where i wanted to be with my text. if you really want to take a little lesson in communication then take a look at the Maschine Forum. they've been doing it better there for years. I can't say for sure if it's enough how they do it, but it's the same damn company! it really can't be that hard, can it?
finally: this is nothing personal and i don't want to attack anyone directly. but when I have to recognize the same patterns over and over again, it's just frustrating. I really believe that you are trying to listen to your users, but either your hands are tied because certain things are technically not feasible, or you are constantly missing the mark.
meanwhile, the distance to your competition in the market is huge. it just hurts when you love something like Traktor so much, but have to watch the other players all run away and we just (felt) stop here.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts @Owner
I'll unpack a couple of things just to clarify our approach here on the community side. We (when I say we, I'll refer to the community team) are taking ownership of what is happening around here and are not expecting Pedram to show up here everyday and answer everyone individually. Just like you said, he has a ton on his plate and his energy is definitely needed to drive Traktor. The team is checking what's happening around here but to keep things practical for everyone, we are taking an approach that is definitely in line with what you are saying.
Recently, we didn't a good job at making sure communication was consistent and with so many changes happening in the past few months, it was 1000% chaotic. I take some responsibility on this as well since it is our responsibility to make sure our community feels heard and has ways to share feedback with everyone at NI. Now, we're actually following a similar approach you see in the Maschine section (and you right same company and same team looking after the community). We'll have Pedram share every quarter a bit more information on progress with much needed context (like you saw here) but the the big part of the feedback will be driven by Kai, Nico and myself. We set-up a meeting with the Traktor team every two weeks so we can bring up the questions you all have and share more about what's on everyone's mind.
Personally, I would much rather have conversations than having you all wait around for a pinned post and for the first time, we have a team looking after the online community every single day.
In regards to Ray's post, the f-words were only the surface of what was wrong. Again, I'm not dismissing the content at all and while I understand the frustration, this was definitely not the right way to share feedback.
Hope this clarifies the comms / community aspect a bit. I'm totally happy to dissect how we envision this even more 🙏

Quote Owner (since context/selection quoting is still not functional here):
"all the new features that have recently been introduced are not finished in my opinion. Smart Playlists and the Browser Improvements come to my mind first. Parallel Waveforms before. for me both only half-finished things."
I can fully sign this.
I need long promised shortcomings fixed, not streaming, not a new filter/fx.
Those shortcomings for me is metadata i/o (custom & multi-value field support), the long promised browser/library overhaul (while taking modern metadata features on board, and embedding this into the library/browser/playlist workflow) as well as smart playlists makign use of modern metadata features as well as 'currently playing track', without the last, a smart playlist system is less than half-implemented in my book...
So fingers crossed we'll get to see what was done on the last 4 months of silence soon, and it actually is some of those top 3 topics (i.e. -> https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/traktor-3-5-2-297-released-on-native-access.463005/#post-2141807). Can someone tell me what Ray's removed post says
c.
Cheers.

Hi @Owner , thanks for your question directed at me. No, I'm not planning to answer every individual question here moving forward. As you're rightfully assuming and as @Matt_NI stated, I wouldn't have the bandwidth to do that and it's not what I'm supposed to do - it's the Community Team's (Matt, Kai, Nico) role to be present here and steer the day to day discussions.
That said, I'll certainly take the freedom to check in frequently here, read your comments, and contribute occasionally also on top of the promised quarterly update - because I appreciate everyone's contribution here and I understand the frustration. And I consider the conversation as valuable input for our work. Same is true for my colleagues from Traktor @Friedemann @ NI , @Michael K @ NI and others - one of us will check in with you frequently here on top of the Community Team. If not me, then another colleague.
On the product feature request side, we're aware of everything you all mention here, and within the boundaries of our possibilities as Team Traktor, we're working everyday to deliver as much as possible of your requests according to the surveys. Also, the 'chaos' as mentioned by @Matt_NI that was induced by all the recent company changes explains a lot of the perceived silence/reduced speed you're all referring too.
Today, in Berlin at least the sun is shining and we love what we're doing: working on/discussing about DJ gear. So let's close the week with some positivity. Sending you all warm regards and wishing you a good weekend - keep the music going and till soon!

I unfortunately see the same pattern with Maschine software: no incremental improvements to speak off, even though they have been requested over and over again for 10+ years, but a new auto-sampler. In my experience with software-engineering this means that it's to hard/expensive to touch the existing codebase, and it's easier to build new things. Which is a bad place to be, unless you start new all over again, and build a new product/platform/generation from scratch, and make sure it's maintainable in the future. It's a pattern at NI, and a bad one.

Matt, I wasn't aware that i had posted something disrespectful.
What i was hinting at is the extremely short-sighted way the post was "cancelled". There are many other forums and groups including the one I run where censorship isn't a thing. He didn't swear ...* ******* ******* are just stars. He rightly showed his frustration because this isn't new, some of us have been around since the beginning of Traktor and before and most of the issues have been around since then.
The browser (smart lists, metadata etc.) needs priority number 1 tattooed on your eyeballs, it's constantly being ignored, yet we hear lipservice every time the point is raised.
The gridding needs overhauling because it doesn't fit so many genres, even just tempo markers that switches tempo, if elastic grids can't be done.
I have done multiple surveys in my 11.5K user group ....drum machine was never requested, however 86% did request gridding / browser or both. This seems as you've seen the results and ignored them because you want to release hardware ..... Remember the S3 ...
With that said, i'll be off back to my group and I hope you open up channels with Ray or better still give him the job of steering your mastless ship back to port ! He has way more knowledge that your current product designers it seems.
✌ peace.

The ability to create a point in a track which tracks how far we are from there in bars/beats would be perfect in future Traktor Pro and I guess it can be made easily. Double dropping music is much easier this way.
Also a standalone Traktor Hardware (like in Maschine+) is a must in today's DJ controller scene, possibly with at least 2 USB in-out ports.

Thanks for the communication Matt...
The inconsistencies of sharing product roadmap info across different NI categories brought me into this Traktor section and I don't even own this product.
The most recent information from Pedram was very enlightening and I hope what he said about modernizing the Codebase and exciting future hardware applies to all product categories.
Komplete Kontrol seems to be getting short-changed a bit in the sharing of info from NI voices.
