How to stop double midi notes?

Ok but the patches I recorded were not using arp or smart play so KK must be emitting MIDI even when those functions are not engaged. If that is the case then a) surely that could cause similar behaviour in hosts that never had Logic’s limitation with MIDI plugin and b) maybe the fix would be for NI to close the leak and make it so that KK only emits MIDI when you want it to (ie when smart play is enabled)

FWIW It seems to be a "feature" of KK but not happening with Kontakt 7 used as standalone on a track.

Indeed. In the meantime is there any detriment? - it doesn't play offset double notes or twice as loud!!

No they are exactly superimposed on each other, it does make editing in the piano roll fiddlier though, not sure if it has an impact on CPU?

If I may jump in here. In Logic 10.8 Mac I am having doubled MIDI notes ONLY when I am using Komplete Kontrol. If I load Kontakt (Kontakt 7.7.0) directly there are no doubled notes. Same thing for Massive X. Through Komplete Kontrol 3.0.2 it's double notes and directly instantiated in the Logic traxck there are no doubles.

Yeah this is the exact problem I'm having as well.
If there's a fix for this in Komplete Kontrol, please please please make sure to release a 2.9.x update for those of us with a mk1 S88.

@fluffy Not sure if the fix will come from Apple or NI at the moment, in the meantime there's a workaround you can find here: Official known issues with (and features of) Komplete Kontrol 3.0.2 and Logic Pro 10.8

Yeah, I’d seen that linked elsewhere in this thread, and I have that thread bookmarked for later. Thanks for pointing it out all the same.
Is its only effect on KK to disable Play Assist (which I don’t care much about), or does it have other effects?

Hi , I'm seeing double note on events in Logic 10.8 using the Komplete Kontrol plugin, doesn't happen for any other VST/plugins - @Jeremy_NI can you confirm this is recognised as a Logic 10.8 / Komplete Kontrol bug? Is there a work around at all? Thanks

Better workaround that doesn't require the environment.
In the Logic inspector set the MIDI input just to Komplete Kontrol 1, set the MIDI in channel to 1 and change the MIDI out from 'ALL' to anything apart from ALL or 1
