Can I control 4 decks with x1 mk3

Wondering if I can switch between deck a/b and c/d to control 4 decks?

You can switch between decks A/B and C/D, so yes it works for 4 decks. But I will double check that.

Oh great! Is this just done on the unit itself, so I could set deck 1 and 2 away then switch straight to deck 3 and 4.

As far as I know it's a shift function on the unit - but I will double check both, maybe I'm wrong, so I mean if it really supports 4 decks and how you switch them. Not that you buy it now and then it does not work.

On MK2, you need to either recennect the USB cable or to delete mapping device and add it back in before X1 asks which deck you wish to assign.

Not ideal and I really hope to see improvements on that matter with Mk3..

"On startup you can assign the unit to the various deck combinations like AB, CD, AC, BD but you could for example also make use of the MIDI layer to map it to your 3rd and 4th deck for very quick switching. If you want instant access to all 4 decks at all times, yes you would need two like in this setup"

Yes - stevan is right, I have rememberd it wrong, maybe later if the implement overlapping, or they add it as a shift function - really strange decision in my eyes to not be able to quickly switch between decks
