Future-proofing Absynth VST
Since I have installed Absynth via Native Access, I do not have the installer available. I still technically do "own" it through my version Komplete and have it currently installed and working, though I am not sure whether the recent decommissioning has removed the option to install it.
Regardless, as I would like to be able to use it for as long as possible, I was wondering if anyone has confirmed whether if one just backs-up the Absynth 5.dll it will work on another Windows machine? Assuming the same Windows version, specs and so on.
I am asking as I would expect there is / was some activation mechanism involved. Plus, I would still like to have the NKS presets available for KK which may need to be backed-up as well.

No it won't - it needs additional samples and other files to function as well.
The Mac full installer is available from this thread

so it might be worth asking the mods if you can have a copy of the Win installer too just in case

Makes sense, thanks. I suspect even if I get these too, place them in the same folders it would still probably need some registry entries added to bind it together. Theoretically possible to get these in place too, but rather annoyingly hacky. So, prolly best to obtain the installer indeed, assuming there wouldn't be any DRM related issues.
